Do you know of timeshares which accept guide dogs in training? I found one in Sedona which accepts dogs. We own 2 weeks at Marriott and so far have found no Marriotts which will allow guide dog in training.

You should check with the organization for the guide dogs. We do that for Guiding Eyes for the Blind and Puppies Behind Bars...and were told it's a federal law...they have to accept the pups "iff" they are old enough to have a vest and wear it. I've been challenged several times, and have always "won". The other volunteers also take in the pups when folks go on vacation. It's better to pawn them off on the other volunteers so your vacation and the others in the facility will not be "burdened".

posted 07-28-2003 14:07 OK. I know this has been posted before. I searched and couldn't find anything. MY Mother In Law is visiting soon. I'm looking for an escape (actually an exchange). I'd like to take a trip with my pooch within driving distance of Louisville. Are there any timeshares that permit pets within 8-10 hours?

I feel your pain. Remember, Hitler Woman is an anagram for MIL

It fit for mine, too, unfortunately.

affiliates have provided it to us. Resort information can be changed
without notice to RCI. There may be fees, deposits, pet weight

Last August when we were at Grande Ocean, I seem to recall seeing a Guide Dog in training around the pool the week we were there.

I agree with the others that "in training" guide dogs should be allowed everywhere, as long as they wear the vest. Check with your organization and be prepared to take along a copy of the rule (law?) which permits them, just to be sure.
