Okay, Craig Urbine, I have to eat my words, might as well do so publicly.

Despite earlier statements, I HAVE joined I.I. My recent acquisition of a Worldmark ownership allowed me 2 years for 1 fee. I felt that was cheap enough to give it a try. Also, I have so many Worldmark points that I won't be able to use them all, so wanted to compare RCI and II to see which would get me what I want. If I find one is better than the other, that's the one I'll renew. If I find that they both get different exchanges that benefit me, maybe I'll keep both. But if you have a lot of Worldmark points (like over 70,000 per year) it is almost mandatory to use II or RCI.

So here I am. I called your Worldmark desk V.C. today, I'm sorry I didn't get her name. She was extremely nice, knowledgeable and professional. Do you think that II puts more senior VC's on the WM desk?

Craig

It looks like the RCI programmers win this by a mile. On RCI, I can do an on-line request for a week in a time window, up to 10 weeks in length, with a specific starting and ending date. And, it is right up front on the request input screen on the RCI site.

This approach is nice both when my plans are flexible, and when I need a specific few days for check-in.

[B] I hate to tell you this, Craig, but that's not true! The default setting is 21 days--one week backward, two weeks forward. There's a 30-day option, but it takes some digging to find it.

Btw, a pet peeve: When you "expand your search," the search engine keeps the date you entered but erases the regions you had selected. ... Even more annoying, if I click the Back button, the date and Region remain selected, but I have to re-enter the Destination.

Double the pet peeve. Having to reenter the destination each time, when what I really want to change is the date really slows down searches. Hopefully, II internet group can fix this (what I'd call) a glitch. Thanks, ED.

I'm really puzzled about the way II lists how many people can fit in a unit.

Eg. According to II's Marriott Ocean Pointe page, the Efficiency unit sleeps 2/4.

Why does II list some of these units as *Sleep 2* & others as *Sleep 4* in the *Search Results* page? Eg.

Marriott's Ocean Pointe • MPB
Palm Beach Shores, FL, USA Efficiency, Sleeps 4
Limited kitchen Saturday, November 30 2002/
Saturday, December 07 2002

Marriott's Ocean Pointe • MPB
Palm Beach Shores, FL, USA Efficiency, Sleeps 2
Limited kitchen Friday, December 06 2002/
Friday, December 13 2002

Is that a mistake or is there really a difference in those units?
