Does anyone know a good closing agent/document company that will handle timeshare closings on Hilton Head Island? It seems like you have to use an attorney in South Carolina, and my experience has been that they are very slow and very expensive.

Thanks for any information.

That's a fallacy that has somehow gotten out of control. You do not need an attorney to do closings in South Carolina. I did one for Horry County (Myrtle Beach) myself.

Here's the web site for Beaufort County, Register of Deeds.

Steve, I used an attorney recommended by Sally of Marriott resales. I'll email you his name & address rather than advertise here. The fees were about $450.

I bought a private resale for a Marriott HP week a couple of years ago and used Wilson & Bratt, Attorneys. The person I dealt with was Linda and she seemed to have a good sense of urgency and things went speedy and clean. They were about $400. and I was very pleased. Looking back on my paperwork I sent the check and paperwork to them on December 22 and have a letter dated Feb 16 from Interval saying my week was deposited.

The number I have for them is 803-681-6300, but I have a feeling the area code has changed. In any case they are in Hilton Head. Good luck with your transaction.

Hi Steve,
I too used Linda at Wilson & Bratt last year for a Marriott HHI closing. She has handled many t/s closings including Marriotts and is very efficient. She also has a GREAT personality. The closing took less than 4 weeks from start to finish. They are attorneys so the fee will be higher than a document center. I paid around $425 for everything including title search.
