We have been approached by someone at "Timeshare Traders" in Fla. Is this co. reputable? Great promises, but is looking for the upfront money that everyone warns about.

That's your answer. We don't warn without good reason.

It matters not what the name of the company is. If they want an upfront fee, kiss your money goodbye if you fall for it.

There have been many hundreds of posts here in the past four+ years by people who have paid such upfront fees. There have been only two posts with reports of a sale resulting from such a payment. We were not able to verify either report.

For some help on how to sell your week without getting scammed, read the "how to sell" article at this TUG link and the first few articles under "Buying & Selling" in the TUG Advice section (link at the top of this page).

Do not pay an upfront fee. I do want to say that I did once - but got my money back. They didn't sell it, but I did. It was GMAC and after a lot - A LOT - of phone calls and promises to post negative things on TUG, I did get my 500 (less 5 dollars) back.

But they DIDN'T sell it. Not even a nibble! Don't pay upfront fees.
