I am gradually climbing the Time Share ladder, (see my previous experience) and hopefully in the future end up in Hawaii. Yes I could get a mortgage and go right to the top, but this way is more fun.

My original TS purchase was actually a 20 year lease. It served me well in learning and vacationing. It took me to Vistana where I purchased a deeded fixed week (resale of course), although in an older section.

I am now looking at the Cascades (resale) and some interesting questions (for me) have arisen. I have seen advertised "deeded for 92 years". This is interesting because I never saw this before. It stands to reason there is a definite lifetime to the Condos wherever they may be located. But this sounds more like "right of use"?

Second, anyone know the differences (if any) between the units at Cascades? Other than the obvious, 1 bed, 2bd-2ba, LO? I know they all float for all weeks.

Hi Courts,

I am a fellow owner at Vistana, Falls & Springs. The Cascades are the newest units and very nice but they are smaller, by approx 200 sq/ft, the units at the Lakes & Fountains. They do have a great location.

If you're purchasing the resale to use there every year why not consider purchasing for $500 or so, a SA unit. I own SA as well as Vistana and am able to trade into Vistana with my SA any time I want, as long as I search 8-12 months out. I use my Vistana weeks 52 for hard trades that SA won't pull. Also, the mf's for Vistana are now in the low $600's where as SA are about $175-250.

If you want to discuss this further Email me.

Dave
