We are SO glad that we disregarded some of the reviews and came anyway. Our units shows a bit of wear and tear, but are basically just wonderful. We have both parts of the two bedroom lock out. Both units are spacious and full of light -- on the rare occassion when the sun shines (but you can't blame the resort for that!). Some yo-yo before us placed a hot pot on the brand new countertop and burned it in two places. The light bulb in the spotlight over the fireplace was burned out and they sent someone to replace it within a half hour. Other than that, the units were very clean and well maintained. Despite the bad weather that is predicted, we plan to have a wonderful time. ------------------ Susan IP: Logged |

My wife and I stayed in a 2 bedroom there a couple years ago. I also had doubts when I reserved it due to some of the reviews. When we arrived the place was clean and we had a great time there. We took the trip to New York City and enjoyed it. There is lots of walking if you want and the bus broke down so we had to kill a few more hours till another one was sent but I would go back to that resort again without hesitation. Enjoy your stay and did you go to Buskill Falls? The scenery and walking trails were very enjoyable. IP: Logged |

redkyack --We went to Bushkill Falls today and had a wonderful time. We have also enjoyed the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area and the PA state parks. This is a wonderful place to either do nothing at all or to explore the area. We will definitely come back. ------------------ Susan IP: Logged |

Susan: May I ask what is the unit number where you are staying? Let me say that what you get at Tree Tops really depends on the location at the resort. I have written two very negative reviews about Tree Tops and the Villas at Fairways. During my last stay there back in November, we asked to be changed 4 times. Since you mentioned that you are in a lockout, that is not in the oldest section of the resort. If you were to go to the units located in the oldest section, you would have a totally different opinion. Many of the units at Tree Tops and Fairways need to be completely refurbished. By the way, did you get a chance to go to Outdoor World? That's the best part of staying at this resort. I'm glad you are enjoying your stay. We are leaving to go to Shawnee tomorrow. Happy and safe travels to all. ------------------ Hajjah IP: Logged |

I stayed there about 6 years ago. It was the worst timeshare unit that I've ever stayed in, but at that time they were refurbishing. Except for unit, we really enjoyed the resort. Guess it is the luck of the draw to which unit you get into.Nancy IP: Logged |

Villas at Tree Tops UpdateWe had a cold, damp rainy week -- but had a wonderful time. If you would like to know when to reserve a week at any area, find out the day that we are checking out. That will be the day that the beautiful weather starts. We were in one of the 6000 series units and were very pleased. We walked and drove completely around both the Tree Tops and Fairway sections and noticed some extreme discrepancies in the outward appearance and maintanance of the 1000 series units. Some seemed to be well kept up and landscaped -- others looked depressing and needed attention. On check out day (Sunday), I asked housekeeping if I could look inside some of the other units -- they said they were not allowed to do that. The only unit I can vouch for is the one that we stayed in. It even provided us with an ecological soap opera as the greens staff spent 4 days -- and even called in a back hoe -- to try to drain the sand trap by the 13th green. They would dig, huddle and scratch their heads, then dig some more and huddle some more. At about the time that the geese thought that they had a new pond, the digging, scratching and huddling worked. We will definitely go back. ------------------ Susan IP: Logged |

Susan: There you have it. You were in a unit located in the 6000's. If you ever do go back to Tree Tops and are assigned a unit in the lower numbers, you will be in for a rude awakening. Those units are in deplorable shape. We were there twice last year and asked to be placed in the higher numbers (newer units). They moved us from unit to unit twice and then sent us over to Fairways. Well, when we got into those so called better units, they were just as bad as the ones at Tree Tops. Again, the higher numbers are much better. If you can ever get into the 3 bedroom units at Fairways, you will love the place. They are the best part of TreeTops/Fairways. We will only stay in the three bedroom units on that property. ------------------ Hajjah IP: Logged |
