Can you only trade into Marriott if you are a Marriott owner, or are they also available through RCI and II? I am becoming interested in perhaps acquiring a Marriott unit and wonder what my options might be. IP: Logged |

Marriott trades with II. And the first 21 days a Marriott TS is deposited in II, only other marriott owners can exchange for it. This is one reason to buy a Marriott TS. After the 21 days, any other II owner can request an available Marriott location. You're out of luck if using RCI. Some marriott owners do use the independant exchange companies like SFX when they want to trade into a RCI rich location. (almost all whistler resorts are RCI). So if you own a RCI resort, the only way to go to a Marriott TS (or Four Season TS)is to trade through an independant like SFX. What is a "whistler resort" and in order to join SFX is that just like joining II? How do you know if your Marriot resort can trade through SFX? IP: Logged |
