Madge,

I am confused as to how RCI decides into what region to place some resorts. Today I was looking in the region "Hawaii -all resorts except Oahu". Through the Sightings board I knew there was availability at a Kona resort but it did not match. However, when I entered the region "Hawaii-Kona", it and a couple of others appeared. I have also seen some resorts in Kissimee not appear in the "Orlando area" search but others do. The Manhattan Club in NYC will not appear in a "New York" state search. I am sure there are many other cases. How are we supposed to know what area to enter to maximize the results? In most instances, we want to be as broad as possible, but in the above examples, it is working against us.

I found the same thing when I search in "all of Hi except Oahu" for Kona...I found nothing.
Then putting in a search for Kailua-Kona the Mauna Loa came up. It also came up using the Big Island.
I guess we just have to experiment when looking for something. In otherwords use different search criteria.

Try doing a search for European ski resorts, and you'll get one in India (#4276)! Last time I had a geography lesson, Europe stopped at the Urals....

Clearly, the RCI programmers need to go back to primary school.

bellesgirl,

I will forward these examples to our technical staff for review. There are major changes planned for this year, so it's a good time to correct these types of inconsistencies. Thanks for reporting them.
