Why can't RCI post the correct "Points due to expire"?

When I go to the points website, there is a listing of "Points saved from 2004 Use Year:", but this is of little relevance to what will expire. My current account shows 149,500, while I have only 81,120 points left to use. If I call the guides, they will report that I must use something like 40,000 this use year or lose them. A letter from RCI a couple of months ago said I had NO points due to expire (but I did). I am left with having to call a guide, and trusting them to get the numbers right; I sometimes get different answers.
This is all very frustrating; it makes timesharing a part time job. I have to watch and double check every transaction, and I may be out hundreds of dollars worth of points without warning.
Can't the website track "Points due to expire" ("Points Saved from prior use year") accurately?

BTW, I do appreciate your participation here; I learn much from you and other Tuggers. Thanks.

To expand on the above worthwhile suggestion. Why can't points members see an entire accounting of their points? It should include all deposits, uses and balances just like when you log on to check your credit card account on-line. Does RCI want members to call in for some reason?

Gary,

The saved points information is indeed deceiving and we plan to enhance this feature to include a running tally of saved points as they're used.

There will also be more information available online; however, I do not have specifics yet -- major changes are in the works this year, and decisions are still being made.
