Hi Folks:

I have just booked 2 weeks in Sea Gardens Mazatlan starting November 11th.

We are hoping for suggestions on how to find the best airfare from either Vancouver or Seattle return. Would really appreciate your help.

Thanks
Lynn

Alaska Airlines and America West offer the best prices on flights from Seattle. I usually look on Travelocity.com and check the dates flexible box and then see when the least expensive time to fly is. Fares are usually lowest 3-6 months ahead. I usually pay 300- 400 for a ticket from Seattle. We love the non-stop from Seattle - but it is seasonal and may not operate in November.

Thanks Cyndi, I will try Travelocity.

I looked up the web sites of both Alaska Airlines and America West, and AW had airfares for 430.00. But I have heard repeated poor reports about the lack of comfort of the seats.

I wonder if there are any other charter flights that do regular runs from Seattle to Mazatlan?

Hi Lynn,

We are also looking for flights to Maz but don't go until Feb 06. We are leaning towards AW and not a charter out to Vancouver because the charters do have less leg room. We've flown to Maz 6 times on charters. Family flew AW and Alaska to Maz and PV and said there was definately more leg room.

I've found for our timeframe, Alaska has been more expensive. As far as a charter price goes, those probably won't be out until August or September.

Diane

Edited to add: I forgot to mention that I don't believe there are charter flights available in the US.
