I am heading for Los Angeles in July for a week and rented a mini van from Dollar at a rate of 149.00 per week. I think this is really cheap compared to the others. Anybody ever rented from this location? Sometimes using the cheapest turns into a nightmare.

Lenora,

I've used Dollar at LAX. No problems, good shuttle service, easy to navigate your way out, good car, would be happy to recommend their quality of service. Can be something of a queue at busy arrival times but they do put plenty of staff to work. Really quick at vehicle drop-off the last couple of times.

I guess the only question I would have is does your rate include all the insurances (if you need them)? Boy can they put the price up!

I agree with the previous poster.

I've rented from this location a couple of times without any problems.

Lenora,

That's a very good rate. How did you get it? We are looking to rent a van in California but from the Dollar website it will cost $227.

Thanks in advance,

Rita

Dollar at LAX is relatively hassle free. Because they run such good price specials the pick-up line can be a bit long. We have used them several times with no issues.

Rita,

Just yesterday, using sidestep.com, I found the rates of$152.50 including taxes for a mini van at Thrifty and Dollar for trip in August. We had previously reserved with Thrifty for $209.99 including taxes. Give sidestep.com a try.
