We're considering flying from SFO to MCO. To save "some" money... there are flights that arrive after 9PM I don't want to check in at the timeshare at that ungodly hour...Instead, we may want to spend the first night at a hotel/motel in or very near MCO. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA Doug [This message has been edited by DougKaya (edited 06-01-2005).] IP: Logged |

You could stay right in the airport at the Hyatt Hotel. Also, there are several aiport hotels. If you do a search on Travelocity you'll find all the airport hotels. IP: Logged |

I had to be in Orlando for a course. Got my luggage, waited for a cab and asked to go to the Hyatt. I was sent back into the airport terminal where I spent nearly a week. It should work well for your purposes.IP: Logged |

What's the difference? You've got to check in somewhere at that hour. I have checked into timeshares around mid-night with no issues. Stay at a hotel and you have to go through another checkin and checkout and you lose most of another day. If staying around Disney probably only about an hour from the time you get your bags to arriving at resort, assuming you pickup car at airport.[This message has been edited by wfillion (edited 06-01-2005).] IP: Logged |

The difference ??? We get to sleep in... have a leisurely breakfast. Meet with business acquaintances before checking in at timeshare. And still have 7 FULL days (instead of six) in Orlando. IP: Logged |

Unless you stay at the Hyatt at the airport, you will spend at least 5 or 10 minutes going to the nearest hotel. You can be at most Orlando area timeshares within 20 minutes.IP: Logged |

Hmmmmm.... I may have to reconsider bunking it at a hotel, huh ? It's just that I WANT 7 Full days if at all possible.

I didn't know that the Hyatt was in the airport terminal. I had not booked this so didn't pay much attention to the address. When I got to Orlando I assumed that the Hyatt was downtown so tried to take a taxi there only to learn that I was staying in the airport itself. Not much fun but I was there on business. IP: Logged |
