We're looking to purchase at any of Massanutten's resorts; however, I can't seem to find any weeks for less than 10K. I looked at the database for sales and there were only a couple listed and they were developer purchases. Just wandering what a good price is there, and how well do they exchange. IP: Logged |

I have seen them go for 7500 on EBAaY. I don't know how well they trade. I have gone there a few times summer time, good golf course good fishing, not such a far drive to Monticello------------------ You never make the putts that are short IP: Logged |

Hi, I just checked a few sites; "Redweek", "Myresortnetwork", and "Bidshares". I saw many weeks ranging from $2000 on up. There was a 2-BR 4th of July week for $4200 and a week #34 for $3,200, and many others. You didn't state whether you were interested in annual, bi-annual, floating, a particular season, etc. Also, you said it didn't matter what units you were interested in. Have you stayed at Massanutten? Done any tours there? Over the years we've been there several times. We were there just last year in April. Previously we had always stayed in the Mountainside Villas, but last year we stayed in the Summit units. Personally, I much prefer the Mountainside Villas for the roominess. I found the Summit unit too small. Somehow we got conned into taking a tour when we had to go pick up a parking pass when we arrived. I should have been more astute, but hadn't been to a presentation for many, many years and wasn't paying attention. We toured the some of the Woodstone units. They are the newest. We didn't buy and were eventually offered a week for $4,000 at Woodstone. We told them that we wouldn't be interested in anything other than Mountainside Villas. That section has been sold out for years and they didn't have anything. My husband indicated that if I ever saw a good deal on Mountainside Villas that he would be interested. We were back home about a month and a "Buy It Now" came up on eBay through Holiday Group for a Week #24 Mountainside Villas for $350. It had just been listed and I grabbed it. I knew that was a fantastic deal since it was a week I liked and in the section we love. The maintenance fees are very reasonable. Also, Mountainside Villas trade through both II and RCI; whereas the other sections only trade through RCI. We'll get to use our purchase for the first time in a couple of weeks and we're really looking forward to it. I can't comment on trade power, but we purchased this to utilize, not to trade. I believe others have said on different threads that Massanutten has average trading power. RCI almost always has Bonus weeks available. Most times of the year they are priced less than the maintenance fees. There is no way I would pay several thousand dollars for a week there just because of the availability of Bonus weeks on RCI, but the price we paid for the week we got, we know it was right for us. Hope this helps! IP: Logged |

Several tuggers have reported buying some for less than $2000. I think one even got a 3 bed for about that...or less. Trouble is...don't know the season or times the week was in. ------------------ Ken K PS: Win a week with your TUG Winning Review submission: Award Week PIX Please click the page numbers as they present different subjects IP: Logged |

Call the resort at 540-289-9441 and ask for the Mountainside Villa Owners Association. They have a newsletter that they send out that has weeks advertised. Mountainside was the original timeshare that was sold in Massanutten. The association is totally independent of the resort and many people bought their condos years ago and can no longer use them. These are associated with both RCI and II.cindy IP: Logged |
