Looking for opinions from anyone that has done this Ghost Tour? It looks fun. Would it be too scary for a 9 Yr Old? We would have 3 people and they charge $80 no matter how many in your group. For $26.00/pp, is that outragously expensive for the experience? Also, does anyone know of ANY discounts offered (on the web or other wise) to Busch Gardens that doesn't involve a timeshare tour? We are going in July. I found some $5.00 off coupons (up to six people)on eBay. Does anyone know if these are available somewhere on the web to the general public? Thanks so much for any help/advise!! IP: Logged |

Haven't done that one, but I have done ghost walks in London and York in the UK and St. Augustine here in the US. Those were all fun and well worth the money.IP: Logged |

You can find other tours. Most charge about $12 for adults. I wouldn't pay more than that.IP: Logged |

We did a ghost tour of Williamsburg that originated on the campus of William and Mary a few years ago. We paid per person (probably around $12). You could sign up for this at the TS and it might have been a reduced price thru them. It would be appropriate for young children. It consisted of tales about things that happened in Williamsburg, some sad, some funny, I will say that we went on this 2 different times. I enjoyed it both times but it does depend on the guide you get. One was much more interesting than the other. ------------------ June IP: Logged |

We did it. (always do the ghost tours where available) It was fun. Price should be in $12. range. Like it was mentioned= Depends on your guide. Some more fun. Really it's not scary.. And they can tame it down if a child should find it spooky.

We were there last July and did the "original" ghost tour of Williamsburg. I don't think it would have been more than $15 per person for the 5 of us, I'm sure I would have baulked at more than that.Is it possible you have a great group rate somehow with a small group.? Anyway I'm sure there are better rates per person. Also, as far as the ghost tour, while it was conducted in the dark and by candle light, there were no scary moments, just a few ghost stories and many other stories, took about an hour and a half.We enjoyed it, not as a primary thing to do, but as a Dad booked it so we have to do it, and we ended up liking it thing. Bush Gardens question, I did research that one heavily and in the end for our use, thought the 3 day hopper pass between Bush Gardens and Water Country suited us best. This was available on the bushgardens site and had promotional pricicing ( not a lot off) at the time. So I purchased that. I never found great discounts. After the experience, a full day at Bush Gardens was enough, the day at water country was enough, even with the crowds. On the third day we went back to Bush Gardens for half a day just to use up the ticket. I did think the meal tickets purchase in advance for Bush Gardens was one of the better things I did. ------------------ Mark B. IP: Logged |

There are several diffferent "ghost" tours in Wiliamsburg.Colonial Williamsburg has their lantern tour ($12, but if you buy a general admision ticket to CW, this may be less): http://www.colonialwilliamsburg.com/visit/eventsAndExhibits/calendar/index.cfm?showthisevent=76717 The "original" Ghost Tour (not affiliated with CW, but tours the same restored area of CW), costs about $9, and is the oldest, is at this site: http://www.wmbggrouptourservices.com/ghost_public.html Another newer one (that you mentioned) is a more personal/private tour: http://www.williamsburgprivatetours.com/ghost.htm Hope this helps. We took one of the trips that was around ten bucks (2000?)I thought it was pretty lame---but my wife has suspicions about those things---so perhaps she received the value of bot of our tickets!! Pat ------------------ Owner: Lakeview, WV IP: Logged |
