This weekend brings us that wonderful annual Grand Strand event, Biker (or Harley) Week. Come on down folks. It will be a lot of fun. Just be sure to drive safely. MartinIP: Logged |

What are the dates? What accompanying activities or events might interest non-bikers?My daughter will be in MB next week and is apprehensive. I'd like to put a good spin on it for her. Jack ------------------ Life's short. Fish hard. IP: Logged |

It officially starts Saturday and runs a week, but some will come a little early and others will stay over a day or two. All the regular Myrtle Beach acitivities (shows, restaurants, shops, games, etc.) will be in full blast. We are having, however, the world famous Blue Crab Festival up in Little River (North Myrtle Beach), and that is always fun. She will find plenty to keep her busy (and I haven't even mentioned the beach). MartinIP: Logged |

Martin, I will be there next year at that time. Staying at Sheraton Broadway. Should be far enuff away from all the noise? shaggy------------------ Leslie Michael IP: Logged |

Jack Traffic is pretty nasty especially after Wed. Tell your daughter to use the by-passes if she is on a time restriction. All the motorcycles are really a sight to see. No more worry about crime this time of year then any other. She will be just as safe. Is that your question?IP: Logged |

Shaggy, No such luck about the noise thing. Broadway at the beach is a huge sponsor of Bike Week. The whole parking complex is totally full of displays etc. With bikes everywhere with very very loud pipes. IP: Logged |

Shaggy, I was thinking the same thing about (not) getting away from the noise down at Broadway. Come on up to the northend. It's a bit more peaceful. MartinIP: Logged |

Well, I'm heading on down to the beach (in my convertable, not a HOG). We shall see how it goes. Everybody who is down there should come on up to the Blue Crab Festival in Little River. It will be fun. MartinIP: Logged |

Do we have a date for next year? Kelli was just thrilled about all the motorcycles at the resort, mom is not so sure. (lol) shaggy------------------ Leslie Michael IP: Logged |

I'm checking into Jade Tree Cove 5/14. Interested to see all the bikes. I was there last year with 5/29 checkin. "black biker week". After the holiday weekend, things got pretty quiet.IP: Logged |

I will set up a round for all who show up at Biker Week (TUG members that is). Just don't forget. It's a long way off. And Shaggy, you know the Grand Strand is a whole lot better than hanging around that jerk fellow employee. As an old judge told me when I was first starting out,"don't let the bastards grind you down." That was super advice at the time and has helped me through many difficult relationships. This is HER problem, don't let it get you down. See you in about 12 months. MartinIP: Logged |

Just got back from the Blue Crab festival. Was lots of fun. My wife even got to ride a camel. She said she always wanted to. That was news to me, but it made her day. MartinIP: Logged |

Martin, the blue crab festival is one of my fav things. My girlfriend from Fl usually is there with her unique crafts called Clarabelles. They are handpainted flower pots made to look like crabs, elephants, etc. Really unique. Did you happen to see them? She usually sells out of the blue crabs. Wonder why? (lol) Looking forward to next year, but looking really forward to my trip to Canada. Just got my tix. shaggy------------------ Leslie Michael IP: Logged |

Shaggy, We probably went by her booth and didn't realize she was such an important person (a friend of yours). I will keep her name handy and look for her next year. They really had a crowd this time. MartinIP: Logged |
