We were there in October and stayed at Eagle Trace. We didn't buy the card and didn't really see the need for it. We paid for the chair lift ride to the top of the mountain. It's not a bad drive to Jefferson's home. We did a day trip to DC and took in all the sites there as well.

children's activity cards were $49 last year. The card gives you discounts on an assortment of activities. My daughter is much older than your children and we came out well purchasing the card for her. She attended most all of the how to clinics. She really enjoyed the candle making class. It also gives reduced or free admission to a couple of movie nights and the couple of shows we attended. If Jason Bishop is still doing the Magic show, don't miss it.It was really entertaining. The biggest benefit of the activity card is free greens fees on the golf courses. Your kids probably don't play golf so You can look at a list of the activities on the card when you arrive and calculate it worth to your situation. We didn't buy a card for everyone in the group some of us just paid as we went for activities. I have never seen a family card there.
