I know this is not exactly the same but if you own your own horse you could stable him at/inside Acadia National Park's Wlldwood Stable. The closest TS would be the Harbor Ridge Resort, Southwest Harbor, ME, just outside the park or Acadia Village Resort, Ellsworth, ME, about 20 miles away.Wlldwood Stable does NOT offer rentals; here is a link to their site: http://www.acadia.net/wildwood/w95054ad.html You would have all of Acadia National Park to horse around in. ;-> SBtS

In the Ogunquit area, where there are a number of timeshares, there is horseback riding at Mt. Agamenticus, which is at most a 15 min drive from our resort at Hillcrest. There are hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. You can contact Mt. Agamenticus stables at (207) 361-2840 for more info -- I believe they may also rent mountain bikes. On a clear day, it is truly beautiful up at the top of the mountain -- you can see for miles and miles! DianeIP: Logged |

There are a few horseback riding stables just 10 or 15 minutes from Brewster Green on Cape Cod. We just went in April and had a personal trail ride with just me and my two daughters. It was nice...rode around Nickerson State Park. The resort had a list of stables you can call. There are actually quite a few on the Cape no matter where you stay, but none right at the resort that I know of.IP: Logged |

Acrss the street from Brewster green is a stable for horses. I am not sure if they offer horseback riding but it might be worth looking into.IP: Logged |
