Would it still be ok to be in Cape Cod in the first week of Sept? How's the weather? Will the shop and restaurant still open?IP: Logged |

For us, September is the only month we go to CC. Shops & restaurants are open; the kids are back to school; most of the summer folk are gone.It has been beautiful the past few years we were there. Where will you be? SBtS Here's to swimmin' with bowlegged women....... -- Cpt Quint of The Orca, Amity, USA

I had to look it up.TAN is travel advantage network.? If you can obtain early September weeks on the Cape, then that is absolutely the best time to go without kids. As for the resorts available to you, if you list them, I'm sure someone will know and advise. ------------------ Mark B. IP: Logged |

Count me in as a September lover. No crowds, few kids, good weather, few traffic jams, more availabilty. Not only for the Cape, but just about all New England.------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness." *** http://www.cancundiningguide.com/ IP: Logged |

We usually go first week of September, which is the last week of vacation season. Usually, you can get pretty good sales if you like to shop. The water may get a bit cold though. IP: Logged |

I think the best weather we ever had on Nantucket was the year we went in late September. You might look there as well since the peak season will be over. We went mid-October one year and it happened to be windy and cold, but I'm sure that varies from year to year. Sheila IP: Logged |

I would to Chatham or South Yarmouth - they are further down. Sandwich is right over the bridge - I would rather be further down. Sounds great. Love it in September.------------------ Judy Visit my website [This message has been edited by judyjht (edited 05-27-2005).] IP: Logged |

If you can get September (the first week!) on Cape Cod or the Islands, go for it. It is absolutely the best time of year to go.IP: Logged |

Some Cape Cod TS do not have a full kitchen w/o a stove due to fire codes so read the unit descriptions carefully or contact the resort first if this matters to you. I know the Yarmouth ones do not. [This message has been edited by pcgirl54 (edited 05-28-2005).] IP: Logged |

Some restaurants and shops close on Labor Day, but not all. Do you fish? September is a great time for that. I vote Chatham, assuming all else about the resorts is equal. S. Yarmouth is more commercial.------------------ we are all angels with one wing. It is when we help each other that we truly fly. IP: Logged |
