Anyone stayed there in the last year? What do you think of it? Mt sister got a 2B/2b Easter week for 2006 & now can't go so she was thinking about renting it out. She traded with a owner but you know how a owner feels about there own resort! I was telling her that her M. Fee on her resort that she traded with was $893 so she should ask maybe $1200 for the Easter week & listed it on REDWEEK.com but no one as emailed about it. I have 2 other units listed myself for Easter week 2006 & have gotten one rented & tons of email on the other one. So I was thinking maybe this resort isn't that good but I thought Vistana was a great resort! I'm her helper in all her timeshare stuff & she had a search going for Easter week 2006 & got The Royal Islander in a 2B/2B for the same week so I told her to take it & worry about the Vistana later. Can she bank a week she doesn't own with RCI? Any help or ideas you have please let me know!!IP: Logged |

No. She can't bank a week she doesn't own with RCI. We stayed at the resort once and liked it, but I doubt I'd pay $1200 to stay there. The maintenance fee of her own unit has nothing to do with the rental value. It's not in an area that I would consider a typical Spring break destination. JMHO. Sheila

The other reason you may not have gotten a reply yet is because for a lot of people it is still early to think about Easter, 2006. I find non-timeshare people are amazed at how early we make plans for vacation. We own at Vistana Beach and the units are full during Easter break. They have a good activities program for such a small resort (76 units). Also because it is small, a lot of people do not know about it or its location. When we go, we have to explain to our friends and acquaintances in detail where Jensen Beach is. IP: Logged |

So the units are still up to Gold Crown? I would love for someone that doesn't own there who has stayed there to give me their likes & dislikes! As a owner of 6 timeshares I know I can love my home resorts more than traders do! Just want to be fair to my renter & give update information if I get a renter!!IP: Logged |

My family stayed there last August, the week before the hurricane went through. The resort is very nice, but it is in a fairly secluded area. If you are the type who likes a large, crowded beach like Daytona, you should definitely look somewhere else. We personally liked the quietness of the area. The units themselves are nice, but I would say they are on the lower end of "Gold Crown". Still Gold Crown though. I am not sure what the beach is like at this point, because it was small to begin with, not sure of damage by the hurricane last summer, if any damage at all.Steve IP: Logged |
