WOW! I realize it was Presidents Day weekend, but I never thought it would be so busy! Lots of people and TRAFFIC. It was almost as busy as when I was there this past October. It pays to know the back streets and roads. I'm still learning my way.Stayed at my home resort, Sunrise Ridge on the edge of Pigeon Forge. We had a two bedroom pedestal unit for the first time that was quite nice but not as large as the two bedroom units in the main buildings. Took in the "Black Bear Jamboree". It was a good family oriented show for all ages. During the warm up act they even get all the little kids on stage. Lots of set changes, singing and dancing to keep everyone entertained. The food was surprisingly good, being served nice and hot by prompt servers. Extremely nice and helpfull staff. I would recommend this show. Of course we took a ride through the Park. Some may not think there is much to be seen this time of year in the park but it was just as beautiful as ever. We drove through on Sunday which was cloudy with a little rain. The views of the mountains with the low clouds moving through them was a sight to be seen. ------------------ Jim IP: Logged |
