Hi Everyone,I know that we have discussed this topic several times before, but I still have not received a satisfactory answer regardging the RCI benefits. For Diamond Club Owners, I would like to know exactly what are the RCI benefits that you have received or are entitled to. I have received several answers but none have been consistent with one another. I think I have a good understanding of the Silverleaf benefits of being a Diamond Club Owner. Thanks. ------------------ Chris Caldwell My Home Page IP: Logged |

Are you a Diamond Club Member? Maybe you can ask Madge this question on the Ask RCI forum. Wonder what they will tell you.Hop IP: Logged |

No I am not a Diamond Club Member but I am thinking of upgrading my Seaside to a Presidential and adding 2 family members. If I do this I would become a Diamond Club Member. I will ask Madge about this. Thanks for mentioning that.------------------ Chris Caldwell My Home Page [This message has been edited by spoody (edited 04-25-2005).] IP: Logged |

Spoody,What resort are you looking to get a Presidential. Is it at Seaside. We just found out that they will allow you to lock-out the Presidential for 2 weeks. Branson is the only other Presidential this is allowed. We just got back from Seaside couple weeks ago. Hop IP: Logged |

I was looking at purchasing another week at Holiday Hills. I have noticed that my Presidential week 45 trades better than my week 25 at Seaside. Furthermore, Seaside has lost it's Gold Crown Status and I don't know why. ------------------ Chris Caldwell My Home Page IP: Logged |

I think the reason Seaside lost their Gold Crown is because of complaints not having the amenities. No handicap units, no laundry facility, no Hot Tub or Restrooms by Pool. The new units being built now will have elevators. Putt Putt is coming this year and also an Indoor Pool should be ready in January 2006. I am sure they will get it back. They also plan to put another pool and hot tub by the Presidentials but I don't know when that will happen. Hop

Hop,Have you noticed a difference between the trading power of Holdiay Hills and Seaside? ------------------ Chris Caldwell My Home Page IP: Logged |

It's hard to compare because our Holiday Hills is a June week and Seaside is white week 52. Holiday Hills pulls a little better than Seaside. Sometimes they pull the same but Holiday Hills will pull couple extra resorts. What was really wierd is that we just deposited Holiday Hills for 2006 and I still have 2005 banked and the 2005 week was pulling more than the 2006 week. And 2006 is more than a year out. We have both deposits locked-out for 2 weeks. Now the Seaside week we did an exchange for Sedona, Arizona for June 2006. We had Seaside 2004 and 2005 weeks deposited and the 2004 week did not pull it but the 2005 week did. When I called RCI using the special Silverleaf number they did the transaction and used the 2004 week for us. The lock-out (hotel unit) has pulled 1 and 2 bedroom units for us several times.Hop

The two arguments for upgrading to Dimond Club is if you have two red weeks, you can back to back the bonus time. The other is that you have a better preference for bonus time of the others in the 14 day advance window. Nobody can beat Hop's 21 day advance window. Hop must have upgraded from an old week to get that deal.IP: Logged |

We bought before the Bonus Time was initiated and have the Endless Escape Bonus Program (6 nights free) which is honored for all owners purchasing before January 2001 (I think is the date). Presidential owners got the 21 day advance request.Hop IP: Logged |
