We happen to own at Tree Tops in Gatlinburg, Unit 410, Week 22. We have stayed in the unit once, usually trade it. The 400 building is across the road from the main portion of the complex, however, I do not feel this is a negative. All the planned resort activities take place across the road, however, it is a very short walk. On one side of the building you overlook the pool and on the other side is the boundry of the Smokey Mountain National Park. There is an elevator in this building. The building is quiet and I feel a good location. Hope you enjoy your vacation. IP: Logged |

We were at Tree Tops in Sept. last year and were in Unit 410. It was on the end as you came up one flight of steps. It was a very nice unit. It was a 2 bedroom/2 bath. We had friends with us and it worked out very nice. The unit overlooked the pool and hot tub. The master bedroom had a queen size bed, the 2nd bedroom had twin beds. No whirlpool tub, but huge master bath. 2nd bath was smaller, but had a tub, shower, toilet and sink. Kitchen was large enough to work in with all the utensils needed. I think we moved things around a little to make room for groceries, etc. We enjoyed it very much. I would go back in a heartbeat! Hope this helps. CyndiIP: Logged |

We stayed in unit 412 April 23-30 this year - absolutely LOVED the location. We were the end unit on the row, one flight up, so your unit will be one from the end. Your two balconies will overlook the pool and you should be able to hear the 'roaring' from the river and see the mountains. This one building is across a little road/street from all the others - but i see this as a POSITIVE. It seems a little more spacious and a little more private rather than having so many buildings right around it. DO go to the potluck dinner if you're in the mood to be sociable - we met some nice couples who gave us tips on restaurants and trails they hiked. Also, our family of 4 ate REALLY well for the price of the two desserts we brought - many people made casseroles and interesting veggie dishes and everything was very good. The band and the staff were fun to listen to, and they have giveaways. (tickets to local shows etc.) We, as the youngest people in the room (early 50s)and some of the only "yankees" became the entertainment when we were called to the front for our prize - long story -- but it was all good fun. Treetops is high on my list - VERY clean, very comfortable, kitchen was very well equipped and you can get more supplies if you run out. Also, if you plan to go to Dollywood, buy your tickets from their activity center. They have a deal where you get two FULL days for the price of one day, and you can skip a day in between visits. Best deal around. Enjoy it! IP: Logged |
