Does anyone know anything about the new HGVC being built in Waikoloa? Where is it located in relation to the Hilton or the Bay Club? When is it expected to open? Will it have use of the Hilton hotel pools, etc.? any other info is welcome! Thanks.IP: Logged |

It is next door to the existing Bay Club property. It was the property the Bay Club had original plans to expand to. Apparently access to the HGVC pools is suppose to be allows.IP: Logged |

Isn't is supposed to open early 2006? And yes, I read or heard that they will have acces to the Hilton pools. Kind of puts the Bay Club in an akward situation don't you think?IP: Logged |

We just arrived home tonight from The Bay Club and a few days at Hilton Hawaiian Village, Oahu. We did the tour of the Hilton Waikoloa for the new HGVC next to the Bay Club. It is on the property between the Bay Club and the Kings Golf Course. We were told it would open in November but it might take longer. Property is being framed now. Price quoted was $43,900 but only $31,900 presale for 7000 points! They will have access to the Hilton pools, etc. There will be a shuttle to/from as there is currently for the Bay Club. Unfortunately, the day use for Bay Club guests using the Hilton amenities is now $80 for a family for a day. I will submit a review in the next day or so when I unpack.IP: Logged |

It use to be that you needed to rent a room at the Hotel to get use of the pool. It seems to me they had half day rates but I still think it might have been $150 or more. $80 is actually lower than it use to be. At least there is a option to use the pool now. Now that my kids are older I don't think I will be using the hotel pool until I have grandkids.Short IP: Logged |

Just to note, The Bay Club is only managed by HGVC. It was not developed as part of the Hilton family. Owners at Kohala Coast Resorts are paying a substantial sum for access to the Waikoloa Hilton. For those Bay Club owners that want access to the hotel, a daily rate of $80 is a pretty good deal. Don't forget that before The Bay Club contracted with HGVC, TBC owners had no access to Hilton Hotel facilities.------------------ Owner The Bay Club at Waikola and Celebrity Resorts Waikiki IP: Logged |

I'm wondering if HGVC owners trade into this property will they have access to the pools? That would be great.. Why would a family stay at Bayclub over the new development? ------------------ Grand Pacific Resorts Owners Group Private Group for Grand Pacific Resorts Owners IP: Logged |

1) Bay Club has bigger units than the newer HGVC developed units. 2) Bay Club easier to get into, both via HGVC and RCI. 3) Pool is NOT important. It depends on what interests you. IP: Logged |

Good question and comment, and it will be interesting to see how they work it. Will it be owners only, or any HGVC owner or anyone who trades in via RCI or II? At lot of BC owners were told the same rumor from sales agents when we purchased, but it never came about. I would stay at BC because as owner I could most likely get reservations on days needed. Also, pools are far far down on my list of things to do in Hawaii.
