She fell at home the last week of November and was paralyzed from the neck down. I asked Hawaii Tuggers to shower her with cards at Craig Hospital in Colorado. The good news: She is able to breathe 8 hrs a day without assistance and keeps getting stronger and stronger and able to breathe about an hour longer each day. She is able to talk when she isn't on the ventilator. She will probably be discharged at the end of the month to go back home to Hanalei some 6 months after she was first hospitalized. According to the nurses at Craig Hospital no one has ever received more cards, thanks in part to all you Tuggers who cared enough to send her some encouragement.
