Post review as soon as I get time. Almost a month in the Islands. Stayed at Paniolo Greens on Big Island and Pahio Bali Hai on Kauai. As a quick reference no complaints on either.

Can't wait to read your reviews. My husband and I are going to Kauai (Pahio) for the first time next January. I love to hear what REAL people say. You are a REAL person, aren't you?

Denise, did you check out the reviews here on TUG?

There are quite a few about the various Pahio resorts on Kauai.

Which one are you going to in January?

Denise, all reviews on TUG are by "real people", unless it is one of those who have taught their parrot to type. You would have to join TUG to see the reviews, but it will be money well spent.

Real person here. I'm hoping to do reviews tonight. I just looked at a slideshow my Wife put together. She took 600 pictures. Some on the Big Island and some on Kauai. This time on Kauai we only hung out from Kapaa north. Mostly at Hanalei.

Yes, I should go through the steps to get my membership activated. Although I'm confident that Pahio will be a very nice place. The one we are going to is Pahio at Kaeo Kai in Princeville. I am very excited. RCI offered me a highrise in Waikiki in the past and we passed on it (just wasn't my idea of the ideal Hawaiian vacation). I believe the airfare is going to be a lot more than we usually pay for our winter vacations in Florida so I held out for the Island of Kauai. Once they offered Kauai I really didn't care if it was a motel room, I was just so set on Kauai. This is a great board!

No info on Captain Sundown. We usually eat at Zelo's at least once while we are there. Good food. Stop by Hanalei's Paradise Shave Ice, Next to Bubba's. Slack Key concerts are good and this time we also got to attend a memorial for one of Hanalei's locals. It was a Hawaiian Reggie Band and they were excellent. Everyone was friendly except the occaisonal Moke in the Street Racer Riceburner cars and lowered truck's. We have them here in Florida too. Seems they all have a death wish.

Don't overlook the Beach at the Princeville Resort Hotel and Queens Bath if your up to a bit of a hike. Both nearby.
