The wife and I are planning a vacation to the Bahamas for late Dec 05, it will be our first time there and would like your opinion on where to stay and must do's?
I will be using RCI point and below are the resorts that will likely come up on a search:

The St. George's Club
Xanadu Beach Resort and Marina
Royal Oasis Vacation Club
Sandyport Beaches Resort
Viva Vacation Club at Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach
Vacation Village at Running Mon Marina and Resort

Please let us know if you have any experience or recommendations.

Thanks,
Victor

Hi Victor from Summerbay Orlando,

I'm Victor from Summerbay Las Vegas.....

anyway, do you know which island in the Bahamas you would like to stay? You mentioned one resort in Nassau (Paradise Island). This is where Harborside/Atlantis Casino is (if you're lucky enough to get there)and is what I consider a 'must see' (especially the huge underground aquarium). You mostly mentioned resorts also in Freeport (Grand Bahama Island). On Grand Bahama Island, I would recommend visiting the market at Port Lucaya and shopping the International Bazarre downtown. There is also a fairly nice restaurant called "Pier One" on Grand Bahama Island where you they throw scraps of food in the water and the sharks come and eat.
No matter which island you stay at, many of them have excellent water sports (jet skis, para-sailing, snorkeling/scuba) and catamaran trips where they take you out to the coral reefs for snorkeling and partying).
Here's a link to a forum which discusses the Bahamas and is pretty informative: (It's from the Cruise Critic Website and has gobs of valuable information) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58

Oh, I am editing this to add: TUG has some great reviews on all the timeshares you listed from people who have stayed there. If you have not done so, check out the reviews.

Victor

Harborside at the Atlantis is the only timeshare that allows you on the Atlantis grounds. If you go to Grand Bahama , I suggest something at Port Lacaya. The other resorts I visited we old and run down. The Xanadu practically kidnapped us for a presentation, the resort was terrible. Although some have said it has been refurbished. I loved the Ritz. Wetwind II was small, quant and quiet in Nassau. Make sure you read the Tug reviews. They are very helpful!
Note: The water and pools are very cold in the winter months. I couldn't feel my lower half after visiting the Dolphins. Temps were around 70-75.
