Thanks Sandy--guess I better remove that one from my ongoing search!! Gosh, I wish RCI indicated that in their directory. Can you imagine arriving with the kids only to find out they're not allowed??

I think that Sandals would actually prefer to have all the timeshare owners bought out, and have the entire resort as Sandals only. They do put them in a seperate area of the Villas for exchangers.

Sandals recently closed and renovated both the Beaches Grande Sport and the Sandals Ocho Rios and reopened them as a merged Sandal Grand Ocho Rios resort, with both a hillside and a beachfront portion to the hotel.

I do not know for sure what grouping of villas they have aside for the owners/exchangers. I do believe they are not necessary but to the same level of decor as the rest of the units.

If I have time next week I will email the resort manager and ask which villas they have set aside of owners/exchangers.

The Ciboney resorts is for 16 years and older. I know that Sandals is adults only but Ciboney is for 16 and up. Also Sandals is for couples only (a man and a women not two men or two women) but this is waived for RCI people. I own at Ciboney and let me know if I can help you further. Lorri

Hi Lorri
This was just changed Jan 1 at this resort. That is what Sandals
is publishing in their literature. Also Sandals recently changed their long standing hetero couples only rule to "Couples in Love", allowing same sex couples, provided they are actually a couple. I don't know if exchangers would be subject to different rules, but I would think that they would be the same rules.

Perhaps as a owner you have different information, I am relying on Sandals Resort rules.

I called the resort several months ago and inquired about this and was told that those rules do not apply to timehshare people. Afterall, we have a contract and they cannot change it. It is a very STRONG contract. Lorri
