Just booked a Bonus Week at the Playa Grande in Cabo. Does anyone know if this resort offers an airport shuttle? Also, does anyone have a map of the resort grounds or unit numbers? I know the resort can change the unit number when you check-in , but as of now it says unit #1302. Anyone have any idea where this unit is, or what floor? Thank you!!!IP: Logged |

Have no idea where your unit is, but I really liked the location of this resort in Cabo. FYI- Find out what bait to use for roosterfish and go down to the beach behind Playa Grande and fish for them. I paid big bucks for a guide to take me out and he went straight over there. I caught one and hooked another. Very easily done from the beach.Good luck! ------------------ Greg Greg's Excellent Adventures IP: Logged |

According to my information, your unit number, 1302, indicates you will be in building 1, toward the front of the resort, on the second floor. (The "3" reflects your floor and floor one is the ground floor.) You should have a decent view of the pool and ocean, though your unit is back from the beach. We have never used the resort to arrange for a ride out of the airport, but catching a shuttle out in front of the airport is not a big deal. They will arrange, if you ask, for a shuttle ride back, but they do not provide free transportation. Have a great time. Playa Grande is a beautiful resort. We will be there for two weeks this November and I can hardly wait. KarenIP: Logged |

We were just there the end of January and the ground floor like 1032 would have been ground 1132 should be 2nd floor 1232 3rd floor and 1332 fourth floor. When we were there our confirmation showed 2222 but they put us in 2022 for two days Ground floor but being nice and persistant to the front desk manager moved us up to 2322 (Fourth floor) after two days. With that said we really enjoyed Playa Grande. We prebooked our transfers with Baja Ground Services on the internet, as we saw a recommendation on this board. We have been going to Cabo for several years and it was reasonable and the simplest we have ever done. You may share a van but it only goes to your resort. For 3 of us we had a private van to the resort from the airport. Our plane was a couple of hours late but they were right there to pick us up. They were right on time to take us to the airport and we shared with others I think a total of seven in the van. Kids were half price.------------------ own: Solmar Suites Cabo San Lucas IP: Logged |

We exchanged & stayed there week of 12/26 for New Year's - fun! Party at resort with live band and fireworks at next door's resort over the ocean! You will be 4th floor, near pool with ocean view if you have that unit. (We had dif unit than confirmation) When we checked in, they tried to put us into studio (1BD on confirmation), but we would not accept it. I had a respiratory problem from a little mold in master bath, but couldn't change units since they had none to trade to (except studios). Staff was nice, but we resolved problem by just closing bath door. Met many owners that were very happy at free cocktail party on Tues eve for owners and RCI, Very nice resort -good pools & beach. Took regular shuttle from airport and shared taxi (7 in van) back to airport. Regular shuttle even stops for the guys to buy a cold beer for the drive at an inexpensive corner store if you want! Enjoy!IP: Logged |

The second number indicates the floor, as described,oXoo, the last numbers are for the specific unit with single digits starting at the newest building closest to the lobby at the top or back or bottom of the U of the resort. I think the unit numbers just increase as you go up the U, I want to say odds on one side evens on the other. The oldest units on the beach may have different numbers. They also tried to give us a studio for our 1 bedroom confirmation, we ended up changing for a one bedroom on the ground floor which was very dark. We also had a 2 bedroom presidential suite which was the most spectacular unit we've ever stayed in. I'd ask for a unit as high as possible as close to the top as possible.Forgot to say that you can arrange airport transport through the resort which uses Cape Town Travel. I think it is the cheapest but you must reserve 2 weeks in advance. We also used Baja Ground with no trouble. [This message has been edited by readyalready (edited 04-24-2005).] IP: Logged |

If you go to this site, and click on Transportation, you can set up your transportation to and from the airport: Click here. There is also a map of the resort, but it appears to only give building letters, not the unit number assignments. Karen(Edited to make clickable link. kg)

As owners at Playa Grande I have a copy of the map and info on room numbers. Bldg A Suite 1071-1374 (Nearest the ocean) Bldg B Suite 1061-1363 Bldg C Suite 1051-1452 Bldg D Suite 1041-1443 Bldg E Suite 1031-1532 Bldg F Suite 1021-1522 Bldg G Suite 1001-1601 These are all on the Left side as you leave the lobby The new Bldg above the lobby area is Bldg L Bldg M Suite 2021-2721 Bldg N Suite 2031-2732 Bldg O Suite 2041-2641 Bldg P Suite 2051-2452 (Nearest the Ocean) You are right the first number is the Ground Floor(10 or 20) first floor would be 11 or 21 and so on. With the buildings at an angle most offer some view of the ocean and the pools. There is a new outdoor seafood rest. in front of Bldg M. It opened after we were there in Nov. so were unable to try it. The adult swimming pool and hot tubs are great. So are all the othr pools and hot tub. This is one of our favorite timeshares. You will love it. Judy
