Can anyone recommend a good all-inclusive resort for a lower price Cancun, Cabo, or Puerto Vallarta?

I'm not sure if you're looking for an AI which you can trade into using a t/s or are just looking for an AI generally. My wife & I stayed at the RIU Jalisco in Neuvo Vallerta in November. I thought it was a great place for the $$. We paid less than $1000 CDN$ including airfare from Toronto. It's NOT Club Med or Couples but it was great value for the dollars. Food was ok and edible but meals were not the highlight or something you will rave about.

Park Royal Piramides in Cancun has a reasonable $38 p.p./day AI. The ocean-front resort is on a nice stretch of beach.

Correction on RHC Park Royal Piramides: the 2005 A/I fee is $58.00 per day for RCI exchangers. The 2004 member fee was $38.00.

All in all, it's still an attractive option. We enjoyed it very much the two times we were there. Service was good, the beach is beautiful there, and the location is great.

The RCI website at
https://www.rcicommunity.com/allinclusive/searchPage.asp?resortID=1334&searchType=id&show=Fees#details
shows the fee as US$48 pppd

All AI costs for RCI resorts can be found at

Hmmm. I got the $58 dollar price from the information on an "extra vacation". See:
http://www.rci.com/RCIW_index?body=RCIW_BVResortInformation&searchType=bv&id=1334&orgPage=

Now why would the A/I fee be higher for an extra vacation? That's not usually the case, is it?

The 2005 members' AI fee that I paid for a visit last month was $38.

I would definitely call RCI and ask them what the per diem rate is for exchangers. Last November or December we exchanged our Poconos resort for Park Royal Cozumel for December, 2005. My RCI confirmation said the A/I was $42 a day. I checked my vacation plans on the RCI website a month or two later and it said it was $48. I just checked it again and it said it was $58.

PS Joseph, as you stated, the RHC member's fee has been $38. We paid $38 at Piramides both in 2003 and 2004.

I thought the Royal Solaris in Canucun was a great deal. They currently have hotel/studio stays available on RCI last call. The AI fee included a day trip, usually to Isla Mujers but I heard some weeks they go to one of the area ruins instead. Also, their is a evening cruise for adults only and they take you out to a local restaurant one night by bus.

They have a show 6 nights a week and 1 night they have a casino night for prizes. All in all the entertainment team does a fantastic job.
