I'm confirmed into this property (RCI # 6178) for October 3-October 10, 2004. We're really looking forward to going back to Vancouver (first time since 1986 other than a quick 2 day stopover a few years ago) There aren't any reviews posted, but I'm wondering if these are the same units as the II units listed as "Destinations at the Rosedale on Robson" and on RCI as # 6313 or if the Aviawest units are just in the the same building as the Destinations units? Any additional info would be appreciated.

We're prepared for the unit to be small (its a 1 Bedroom/1 Bath) but aren't sure just how small... 400 sq ft? 500 sq ft? Anyone know who "partial" the Kitchens are?

The 2 programs are different but both in the same building. It's extremely well-located. The bedroom are big enough to be comfortable but the DR/LR part is pretty small. The kitchen has a small refrigerator and sink, a cooktop (I think) and a small micro. Just enjoy being in Vancouver!!

We spent a week there in early July....sorry I have meant to post a review...

No, they are not the same resort as Destinations, supposedly the Aviawest units are nicer(according to the Aviawest people).

They own most of the 19th floor I believe and the rooms are recently renovated. It is clean, but very small....I took pictures again which I have meant to post...so if you would like to see them email me....as you will see it is small but has a great view....some units appeared to have a small outdoor patio, ours did not, that would have made it even nicer...

u can email me at: ricoba@sbcglobal.net

I will try to get a review posted some day!

My sister just returned from a week on Robson Street with Destinations. She toured an Aviawest unit and said that it was far superior to the unit they were in. It was much cleaner and better maintained. The decor was very Metropolitan, very attractive and well laid out. She said the location was perfect. They walked to BC Place. the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Sky Train and it was a short drive to Stanley Park. The Storium in Gas Town is a new attraction and well worth the $22.00 that it cost. There was a pay laundry on alternate floors. She phoned ahead and asked for two Queen beds instead of the two twins that they were offered, and i was surprised that they made the change for her. Have fun - Vancouver has much to offer.

Thanks, Victoria, for the update.

I've now reserved 3 nights there using RCI Points. Actually it was *less expensive* (in points) than the Point to Point (Destinations) unit as P2P is a 6/6 & Aviawest is a 6/4.
