Anyone booking this Resort through RCI be careful on the information you receive. Our information stated that there was an indoor-outdoor pool and guess what, no pool at all. This wouldn't have mattered too much except we had my 14 year old son with us, a heat wave the week of August 1-7, actually 1-3 it then rained Wed-Fri. The air conditioning did not work during the heatwave because the construction crew turned it off by mistake.IP: Logged |

So sorry to hear you had an uncomfortable Whistler visit :-(We've never stayed at Powder's Edge, but I thought I remembered Steve Nelson saying owners/ exchangers there had use of some other nearby pool. Steve - or anyone else who knows - is this correct? Kris [This message has been edited by krisj (edited 08-21-2004).] IP: Logged |

If this was the case nothing was ever said to us. In fact I wrote to RCI with my complaint about the information sheet and book being wrong. RCI's reply is that they don't guarentee amenities except for the room size, occupancy, and kitchen type. If they write that there is an indoor outdoor pool, it means nothing.IP: Logged |

The pool is at the Delta Whistler resort, to which the Powders Edge is attached. Occupants at Whiski Jack have full access to all of the facilities at the Delta Whistler resort, including the pool, tennis courts, exercise facilities, etc. There are few timeshares in Whistler that have more amenities than the Powders Edge. ------------------ Steve Nelson My Seattle Mariners blog ** I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy. Added note - the use of Delta Whistler facilities was mentioned to us at check-in, but not prominently. I did ask WJ about the location of the exercise facilities, and that was where I remember realizing the situation. WJ also pointed out where it was described in printed materials in the unit.------------------ Steve Nelson My Seattle Mariners blog ** I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy. Nothing was mentioned to us at check-in except to tell us there was an exercise place a few blocks away. We checked it out and they wanted something like $12 each for each day. We asked about getting a discount because of Whiski Jack and they said only if you had a special card from them. I also want to say that Bootleg pointed out something to me. I made a mistake in stating an indoor-outdoor pool. It should have just been a pool. BartIP: Logged |
