Hi, guys...We've been lucky enough to get an exchange in May from SFX. I read in one of the reviews that we won't need a rental car. We've had a lot of fun on the public transportation in Vancouver, but can't find any info on transportation to the resort from the airport. It would be great to save that expens, plus the expensive parking fees most places charge there. any suggestions? ------------------ Jean IP: Logged |

Try this website - might fit the bill. Not sure how it would compare to a cab: http://www.yvrairporter.com/ Bev IP: Logged |

Cab to Intrawest Vancouver would be around $26- 28 CDN - a little bit more than two fares on the Airporter. However, quite a bit quicker. Some cabs can take 5 passengers - most only 4. If there are 6 people, a limo is the cheapest - it is a flat fare, around $40. (all $CDN)There is an Airport "B-Line" bus, but it involves a transfer near the airport - not great for luggage. Thanks so much for the help. I seem to have had a delayed flash of brilliance, and sent an e-mail to the resort. I got a lovely answer back with lots of suggestions and links. Now, to cancel the car reservation. The hotel charges $16.40 a day for parking (CAD?), so that would be an additional savings.------------------ Jean IP: Logged |

Did you get a 1 bd/1 bath or the 1bd/2 bath? The 2 bath units are a great deal bigger and have a hugh bath in the master bedroom. As well as a much bigger master bedroom. Use the club Intrawest people to give you ideas on where to go and where to eat they are very helpfull. I've never seen any Club Intrawest through SFX before, you were lucky!Enjoy Vancouver ------------------ Bill IP: Logged |

Bill, I don't know what type of 1 BR we have. I'll ask the contact I made at Intrawest. I realize, already, how lucky we were to get this exchange. 2 yrs. ago we got an exchange through SFX for an 8th floor oceanfront at Marriott's Kauai Beach Club. Wow! Thanks for the suggestions.------------------ Jean IP: Logged |
