No Dave, I remember clearly that we were upset having to join II as we were a member of RCI already. The salesman told us that it would not be for long as the Marriott was going to handle their own exchanges. This would be great but II would lose a lot of nice properties. I wouldn't care because I would not belong to II if I did not have to. Did you get the survey about how you would feel if the Marriott Resorts went over to a point system? Nobody has replied to that yet. I filled out the survey online as I was very much against it since we bought at our resort because we like the area. Our problem was that we could not use it for many years because my husband had to go to England every year to please his mother so we used it for MRPs or rented it out. He is retired now so we have loads of time and he still can go to England too. ;-) Emmy IP: Logged |

I personally really like the current Marriott system with II. I think we have the best of all worlds…Marriott to Marriott preference for 24 days + depositing our Marriott weeks often give us ACs for an extra week. Plus it seems like even my weakest Marriott gets fabulous trades through II.I have to say I’m surprised when people say they dropped their II membership. I could see doing that if you didn’t plan on trading your weeks at all. To me it really gives you the opportunity to take full advantage of your timeshare. JMHO…… Jan

Demand that they refund the difference between the developer price and the resale price. And then if they don't fiel a fraud complaint with the state and federal attorney general office and the department of real estate. ------------------ Dave & Trina IP: Logged |

Dave and Trina, I just recently dropped my II membership. I had not made a Trade through II in over 6 yrs. I trade my sunset pointe week in eoy for 100,000 marriott rewards. The eoy that I have my week I deposit it with SFX. They give me a bonus week for mine. So I end up with 2 weeks. I have nothing but compliments for SFX. I have gotten great trades through them and lasy year they came through with a 2 bedroom at the Embassy Poipu Point for our spring break of March 18-25. I have in the past gotten the Manhattan club and the donatello. I do plan ahead with them and am flexable. Next year they got me HGVC Hawaiian Villiage for our spring break. In the past I had given II the same opportunity and had not gotten Hawaii. Who knows I may someday rejoin II. RodIP: Logged |

I am not sure if this was Dave or Trina but I think the meds have worn off. They were lied to so the should demand a refund on what exactly ????? quote: Originally posted by daventrina: Demand that they refund the difference between the developer price and the resale price.
