Does anyone know which Marriott timeshares are closest to Disney World? I just read on a different thread that Grand Vista is close to Sea World. BTW, how far is Sea Wrold from WDW? Thanks.

The Palms will be the closest by far. CH and GV are about the same distance though I suspect it's a little easier to get there from CH because it's closer to I-4.

Royal, Sabal, and Imperial Palms are the closest. They are on the grounds of the Marriott World Center and are two miles from the Disney gate right on route 536.

Horizons and Cypress Harbor are about five minutes from the Palms right between International Drive and route 4.

Grande Vista is another couple miles east of Horizons off International Drive.

It is very easy and quick to get to Disney from Cypress Harbour. You have just a short distance and you are on I-4 which is then a direct shot to Disney.

The advantage of staying at one of these 3 resorts, is that one has full access to the hotel facilities, including its very nice pool.

Just back from a week at Marriott Imperial Palms - 3 BR used an accommodation cert & got school vac week.

WE have stayed at Grande Vista (3 BR) as well as Cypress & Royal Palms.

Went over to check out Horizons..best for the under 7 yr old age group & the pool was very crowded. The movie theater & bowling alley have not been built..still under cost/benefit review & how it will make a return on it's investment so as not to add add'l costs to the maint fee.

I would say that Royal & imperial are closest to WDWorld.

Cypress & Grande Vista are closest to SeaWorld.

Each has its own theme.

Royal & Imperial are very spacious & almost the same floor plan. The property is very well maintained & quiet. My girls are ages 10 & 14, loved the basketball & tennis courts & the pool are was very relaxing. They could walk or take the shittle up to the World center for the mega pool.

Cypress is very family oriented & has a huge pool.

Grande Vista had a lot of activity & we visited to enjoy their bike rentals. GV is the newest & has a lot of kids activities.

So, it really depends on the age group & how often you really are going to WDW.

We would be there for the opening of the gates ~ 8-8:30 then leave around 1:30...back to the resort for lunch & some pool time

The distance to WDW isn't more than 10 min from Royal/Imperial & 15 min from Cypress/Grande Vista

Hope this helps.

Gloria
