When I first joined Points about 3 years ago I saw many different Caribbean resorts on the Weeks side that I had never seen in my Weeks account. In the past 9-12 months, I am seeing the same resorts over and over in my Points account (Weeks side). Does anyone else notice this? BTW I am constantly checking the RCI website at all different times.Carolyn IP: Logged |

Maybe I am misunderstanding your post, but I think what you are seeing and (I take it, of more interest to you) not seeing is a function of which resorts are large enough or undesirable enough to make it through all of the ongoing search requests. For some resorts in popular areas, that is the only way you can ever get them.------------------ Owner since 1996 (a paltry one) TUG member since 1997 IP: Logged |

Since I joined Points I have booked some excellent resorts that were just sitting online on the Weeks side. For example, a 3BR GC on Sanibel in January, 2 BR Embassy Poipu in January and a Week 52 Ciboney in Jamaica, just to name a few. I am online way more than I would like to admit and have not seen any real "keepers" for a long time. Can you put in a request for a Weeks resort on the Points side? Thanks.Carolyn

Carolyn, I am noticing exactly the same thing as you. We bought a points resort because we were unhappy with trade power with our weeks resort. When we first bought (year and a half ago) I was amazed at the choices. Now, there are lots fewer, and the same ones over and over as you mentioned.IP: Logged |

I was just on the Sightings board and this same subject is being discussed. It is under "Why so few RCI sightings?"Carolyn IP: Logged |

If you are talking about an 'ongoing search' I don't think it is currently available for Points members. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Phil,I had one of these going for a while, but it was never successful. The search was not visible online. I had to call a VC to start it. Sheila IP: Logged |

I believe you can do ongoing searches for units in the Weeks systtm, but not in the Points system. (I did one several years ago, for a white week of all things, and had success.)------------------ Owner since 1996 (a paltry one) TUG member since 1997 IP: Logged |
