I am trying to understand the system before i take the plunge

I want to be able to go to a specific resort close to my home for a prime july august week every year.

the week is worth approx 100,000 points
I dont mind paying out a 100K points, points can be had fairly cheaply and I have plenty of weeks to deposit as well.

it will cost me 2000 to get 49,000 aussie rci points mf 399

it will cost me 3000- 3500 (i think) to get 40,000 rci points by owning at the resort. there are some owner priviledges that i like.

i am trying to reserve a week this summer using a week trade. dont see anything yet. my gut tells me to use a higher value week, but vc tells me i dont need a high value week. says nothing is available.

Is there any way that i can check availability with points. coz if not available w points either then i have to figure alternate strategy.

whatever that may be. owning at the resort?

It might help in getting usefull advise to let other Tuggers know which resort do you want to get into.

What I find interesting is for the same comparable time frame that there is no availability for a 2 bedroom 1,250 square foot CMV RID rated Villa worth only 38,500 gernaric RCI Points.

98,500 RCI Points is 2.55 times the amount of 38,500 RCI Points. This is IMHO just another of many examples showing the unfair RCI Points values assigned by RCI.

This IMHO is just another example of a RCI Points Resort being given to many RCI Points in comparison to its demand and size of the unit.

Based on your Maintenance costs of $399 for 49,000 RCI Points it looks like you would use a little bit under $800 in your resorts Maintence fees in RCI Points costs. It appears you would need to own two of those $2,000 Aussie timeshare oqnerships to trade every year into the week you posted about.

Yes we did find it with points on the points side, not the weeks side of points account.

We also sent you email details about ebay auction for GG ownership that sold a couple of months ago.
