I have been offered 112,000 points for $5,000 with home resort of Kingsgate in Williamsburg. Is this a good price? Does it really make any difference in RCI if the points are from Kingsgate, if I plan to use for trading every year? I have only fixed weesk right now and I am not familiar with all the "ins and outs" of the point system. Wondering if this is a good opportunity to get into points.Shar IP: Logged |

At 4.4 cents a point ($5000/112,000) you done very well. Some people say that $.03 /RCI point is the very best but it's for South Africain or Australasian TS. IMHO, having a TS were you can use it if you want, is an important benefit. I know you said you'll only use it for trading but I like Williamsburg and would like to visit that part of the country often.BUT, the real questions is how much are the MFs? ------------------ Bill PS The other benefit to buying a RCI point TS, is that you can now deposit for points your other RCI TS. So not only will you get RCI points for Williamsburg TS but you now can get points, instead of weeks, for your other RCI TS. Bill has it exactly right. If the annual maintenance comes in at .015 per point or less you have a winner. And that ability to deposit your other, non-points weeks is a big bonus. Assuming these are RCI Points and that youe maintenance fees are in line you have a good deal on a resort that you may even want to use at times. ------------------ John Chase Use Email Icon above for contact address IP: Logged |

Since that is a Fairfield property, I would guess those are Fairfield points being discussed. If so, it is not a great deal as it generally takes 150,000 Fairfield points to get a 2 br unit in Fairfield. You can use them differently withing RCI. I would suggest you join the Fairfield group on Yahoo for better Fairfield information.IP: Logged |

And 4.4 cents a point is about twice the going rate for Fairfield points.IP: Logged |

I would counter with $2000. That's about what it's worth.IP: Logged |

The 112,00 points must be Fairfield points not RCI points as the highest point value unit in the resort is 65,000 RCI points.------------------ Bill IP: Logged |
