Hi Madge,Hopefully this will be fixed by the time you see this message, but all day today (since about 5AM Eastern) the Points Standard Reservation search returns: Sorry, we did not find a match for your search. Please change your search criteria and try again. ...no matter what you search for. I've tried all sorts of searches that should come up with something and always get the same result. Just wanted to make sure the problem was known. Thanks, Sheila [This message has been edited by sfwilshire (edited 03-03-2005).] IP: Logged |

Madge-Agreed ! All day yesterday, last night, and all day today. Seems like what ever maintenance was performed on Tuesday night completely shut the points system down. No matches at all on anything for at least the last 36 hours. MadgeAny information on when this problem will be fixed? I tried again this morning and it's still not working. It's now been more than 3 days. Lynn IP: Logged |

Hi Sheila,Yes, we did identify a problem just today (although it may have been occurring last night as well) with our Points search functionality. Our technical staff were made aware of this and are working to get it resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks as always for reporting your experiences here. ------------------ ~ Madge IP: Logged |

It would appear this morning, Saturday, that the points system continues to be down. The online directory is also non-functional. I would really love to know why the system is so plagued with errors. I can't think of another web search that I use regularly that is so often messed up. Even when it does work, there are errors as in how they report your points and usage years. I really think some of the money that we are paying (I personally paid over $1200 in exchange fees last year) should be allocated to hire a webmaster to get it up to speed. We really need some excellent customer service. Right now, all we have is Madge, who is WONDERFUL but can't possible keep up with all of our needs. IP: Logged |

Linda74,Sorry to hear of your frustration. In testing this myself, it does appear to be working today. Major web initiatives are underway and planned for implementation this year. These should include the Points section, although much of the focus for this year will be on the Weeks section. We do know that web access is important for members, as well as for us. ------------------ ~ Madge IP: Logged |

Hi MadgeThe RCI website is similar to my senior citizen neighbors. When one part gets fixed, another one breaks down. Mercy me. How depressing. Dottie IP: Logged |

Hi Madge,It is also not working for me this morning. It concerns me more that it is now *supposed* to be working. I tried clearing my browser cache but still get the same message. Can you double check on the status of this problem? Sharon IP: Logged |

Madge, Sharon is right. I tried this morning and the Standard Reservation was not working. Just tried again a few minutes ago and can't even get on the website. This has been going on for a week now. It is really frustrating.Lynn IP: Logged |

Standard reservation still returning the same error for any search this morning. The Weeks Reservations are working, but are painfully slow. The worst I've seen in a long time. You click on search and go for a cup of coffee. It will be cold by the time the screen changes. I did finally get a week put on hold, so the functionality seems OK, but the speed is awful. If it's like this at 5 in the morning, it will be tough when the rest of the US wakes up. All other sites seem to be working at normal speed for me, so it seems to be unique to RCI Points. I haven't tried RCI Weeks this morning. Sorry for more bad news. Sheila IP: Logged |

More bad news. Did go try to get into RCI Weeks and got the error:The login information you entered is incorrect. Please try again. I tried it three times just to make sure I was typing my password correctly. I don't think it's me. Sheila IP: Logged |

It is 3AM here and the Standard reservation AND the Weeks part of the Points site just gives an error message. However the Rentals in the Extra Vacations is working. I guess we should all sell our timeshares and just rent.IP: Logged |

Carolyn,The Extra Vacations section of the Weeks and Points sites uses separate technology. If we could pick and choose, we would want our members requesting standard exchanges and Points reservations to have access first. This is the core of our business. The problems are continuing. All I can do is apologize and let you know that our technical staff are working to get the Points site functional again. I mentioned in another thread that much of the trouble we're having is due to the load on our infrastructure. We've simply outgrown it, and this year Cendant and RCI have committed millions of dollars to getting a new system in place. We recognize that things just cannot go on as they are, and 2005 is the year that they will get much, much better. ------------------ ~ Madge IP: Logged |

When I tried the standard reservation this morning, it just went to a white screen and locked up. Never went to anything else. I had to exit out.Sheila P.S. Tried again and it's WORKING! [This message has been edited by sfwilshire (edited 03-11-2005).] IP: Logged |
