I have 2 accounts. The one which is with a Vacation Club & in points, shows that those units with check in on December 19th are in the FlexChange period. Using my other account & an Accommodation Certificate, I do not see those same December 19th units. Why is that so? When does the FlexChange period begin for those using Accommodation Certificates? Thanks. IP: Logged |

Marina:This is a great question as I am not really sure why you are seeing different search results. My first guess would be there are quality differences between the two relinquishments. Down trades in quality will affect search results within the flexchange period. The best bet would be to contact internet support who can review the specific aspects of the exchange request to determine why there is a difference. The flexchange window should be consistent regardless of the relinquishment. quote: Originally posted by Marina_K: I have 2 accounts. The one which is with a Vacation Club & in points, shows that those units with check in on December 19th are in the FlexChange period. I took your advice and called Internet Support. According to the VCs, the blackout dates - major holidays - still apply during FlexChange for the Accommodation Certificate. I guess I misunderstood all you wrote on this thread. Thanks for your help. ------------------ Marina Mexico Reviews IP: Logged |

Marina:I understand your point. I do not think what I wrote was meant to negate any restrictions that are disclosed on the certificate. We were not discussing specific dates that may be blacked out, we were talking about general availability outside of the areas listed on the grid. In any case, as a gesture of goodwill, I would be happy to allow you (as an exception) to confirm the week viewed with your certificate. Please confirm the week using your points account and I will switch the confirmation to your AC. Once complete, please send an email to customerservice@intervalintl.com requesting the email be forwarded to my attention. quote: Originally posted by Marina_K: I took your advice and called Internet Support. Any restrictions printed on the certificate, including blackout dates, are enforced at all times including during flexchange. quote: Originally posted by dash: (Sorry I am not understanding) What does this mean? During flextime do the blackout dates hold? Thanks, Dash

Did someone tell you I actually wanted a Sunday check in By the way, according to my calculations, Saturday 20th is now within the FlexChange period & yet, it doesn't show those units at 50% off (the way it did with Friday, yesterday). Why is that? Does Internet Support, support owners of Point systems affiliated with II? Thanks. ------------------ Marina Mexico Reviews IP: Logged |

Marina:Now I know you're just trying to make me look bad. I don't know the answer to the first question but I'll try to figure it out. On the second question, yes they can assist with either membership. quote: Originally posted by Marina_K: Did someone tell you I actually wanted a Sunday check in By the way, according to my calculations, Saturday 20th is now within the FlexChange period & yet, it doesn't show those units at 50% off (the way it did with Friday, yesterday). Sorry, was not my intention to make you look bad ... read the other thread where you seemed to know all the minute details & wondered whether anyone made a note that I actually wanted Sunday I really would appreciate any information on why the 20th & 21st do not show a 50% discount in points as I have been waiting ~11 months to make this exchange & I've even let that Disney unit go away IP: Logged |

I've sent a note to the director responsible for the area servicing points. As soon as I receive a response, I will post it here. quote: Originally posted by Marina_K: Sorry, was not my intention to make you look bad ... read the other thread where you seemed to know all the minute details & wondered whether anyone made a note that I actually wanted Sunday I really would appreciate any information on why the 20th & 21st do not show a 50% discount in points as I have been waiting ~11 months to make this exchange & I've even let that Disney unit go away

Craig, I have the same issue as Marina when searching with my Equivest points. This issue is being discussed on the points forum, and a TUGger called II Customer Service and confirmed that for reservations made today, the Flexchange period extends to 12/21. When searching with my Equivest points, I was only being shown the discount for exchanges starting on 12/19. For the other two dates (12/20 and 12/21), it was the normal point requirements.IP: Logged |

Craig, Sorry for going on about this but New Year's week, check in December 25th(?), 26th, 27th & 28th, do not reflect the discount in points online. Could you please look into this? Thanks. [This message has been edited by Marina_K (edited 10-30-2003).] IP: Logged |

Craig, the bug fix does not work for my Equivest Vacation and Travel Clib points. I did a search this morning for units with a 2/5/04 checkin, which I confirmed with II via telephone is the furthest checkin date for Flexchanges. I found a Horizens by Marriott in Orlando, but it required the full number of points to reserve, rather than the discounted Flexchange number. I am not looking to reserve the week, I just want to alert you to the fact that the fix you mentioned last week did not fix the bug.

Hi Peter, Sorry if I misunderstood your email. Anyway, I just did a search for February 2004. According to Date Calculator, Sunday, February 8th, 2004 is 59 days from today. For Club Sunterra members, units beginning February 6th & 7th are half the cost in points. Units beginning February 8, 2004 & later are at full price in points. I'll check later to see when February 8th goes into half price. IP: Logged |

We tested this issue and it worked perfectly. Please call internet support if you have the same experience. We have been unable to recreate the issue. quote: Originally posted by somerville: Craig, the bug fix does not work for my Equivest Vacation and Travel Clib points.
