Hi Craig

If I reserve my week for sometime within the first two months of 2004...
and subsequently deposit that week with I.I. in January 2004.
Would that deposit have a lower trading-power because the occupancy-date is less than 60 days away ???

Don't know if the question was asked before.
Logic tells me it would have a lower trading-power than if deposited with a longer "lead" time.

Thanks... Doug

Deposits under sixty days in advance of the occupancy dates are restricted to the flexchange window upon redemption. As such, most components of comparable exchange are not applicable.

Makes sense to me !

For the above reason, I'd think that there aren't many deposits, for the months of January-February.
Since I pay my maintenance-fee in December, reserving anything early in the following year, wouldn't be prudent, unless I was using it or renting it.

Thanks for your quick response !

Doug

You might want to check with your resort about the ability to pay your MF earlier in the year. We generally like to use one of our weeks in March and don't like to wait until December to reserve it. I called customer service and found that we had an option to pay a MF equal to the last one billed to have the right to reserve our week for the next year. At the end of the year, if the MF go up, we are billed the difference. It also allows us to make deposits with I.I. earlier than waiting for December to role around.
