I missed the first almost half of CSI. Based on Nick's conversation with the kidnapper's daughter at the end, did he have a previous relationship with her?

Also, I LOVE that show, but that scene where Nick is dreaming he's witnessing his own autopsy, IMO, was WAY too graphic for the 9 PM hour on network TV--Holy dissection, Batman!

I was recording it to watch later and ran out of tape just when they found Nick's air tube! I'm hoping that my neighbor taped it so I can see the ending.

That dissection part was all due to that episode's director, Quentin Terantino (sp??). That's his thing, I guess. Out of character for a CSI episode but still a good one other than that part.

I was going to post about this. I got a phone call during the last 15 minutes. I do not really know what happened, but I walked in to see Nick talking to the daughter. I don't know what was siad, as she hung up and walked away as I entered the room. Could someone clear that up for me?

OK, here's the scoop: The kidnapper's daughter was convicted of being an accessory to murder. She went with a friend to someone's house, and was carrying a styrofoam cup full of coffee or soda. Her friend (?) shot someone in the house. She ran away, dropping her cup in the meantime. Her DNA on the cup was the main factor in her conviction since it showed her presence in the house at the time of the crime. So, her father, the kidnapper, determined to kill many CSI members to avenge her conviction.

At the end, Nick said to the daughter something to the effect of: When you get out of prison, don't bring it out with you." i.e., her attitude toward being in prison unjustly and her feelings about the abuse she received from other inmates.

Any other questions??

OK, they tied a rope around his waist, told him to lie still with his weight distributed. They all took hold of the rope, brought over a bobcat with 200 pounds of dirt, told him to close his eyes and hold his breath. They they simultaneously dumped in the dirt and pulled him out !! Pretty cool....

They got a rope tied to his belt and brought in a front loader filled with dirt to drop in as they pulled Nick out..on the count of three. It, obviously, worked, but it still blew up.

As for Nick's hallucination of him on the table at the morgue was a little off beat, but I didn't feel any more graphic than when they show other scenes in the morgue pulling out organs and weighing them, or examining some charred body or body parts. They always manage to show some pretty graphic stuff on most of these shows. JMHO.

The truth to be told. When they dumped the 2 tons of dirt on him, they pulled on the rope and it cut him in half. They did get the rope back tho.

I thought the episode was vintage Tarantino, and too disturbing for me. I watched it anyway, though...

For those of you who missed some/all of it...Found this link for a friend whose DVR quit mid-show. Made up for my lack of details on certain parts. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/csi/episodes/523/

One of the best CSI episodes to date. I think the actor who plays the role of Nick did an outstanding job in that confined space. Let's just say I had some dreams about being in that situation. It really freaked me out.

Ah, but to be in a confined space WITH the actor who plays Nick . . .

Grissom's comment at the end about wanting his boys back, I hope that means that the old team gets back together and they get rid of that obnoxious new boss guy...

So, if the kidnapper wanted to kill a bunch of CSI people for what happened to his daughter then why did he tell Grissom to step back at the money exchange?

Just that Grissom's weird. It was from an unrelated case.
