Anybody ever use Skyauction? I have airfare booked for Turks and Caicos and am trying to find a unit to rent. Skyauction does have one listed but I've never used them before and wondered if what you see is what you get. Are there any other sites that I could check too for last minute availability?

Thanks

I have used them twice for a resort with no problem, often the condo/timeshare type places are from RCI. I'd also try RCI extra vacations and last call.

I have used them 2 times. Both were from RCI with RCI documents just like you get with an exchange. We were treated just as an exchanger would be. Lake of the Ozarks and a narrowboat in England. Both fun weeks.Hope yours goes a smoothly.

Just got back from Paris on a great deal from Skyauction. It was a flight and hotel package and it was just as advertised. Fantastic!

I belive Cendant owns Skyauction, so the weeks are connected to RCI.

I have used them twice for cruises and it was fine. They were a little slow with the documents the first time. I was really surprised when we checked in that we had champagne and a plate of dessert chocolates from them.

I just checked my FF miles and discovered that I got miles for my flights booked through Skyauction! Someone else posted that you don't get them, but I had registered my flight, and voila!!

I have used them many times with no problems ..as a matter of fact it was through our Skyauction vacations that we actually became timeshare owners...now we are hooked.. We went to Turks through a Sky auction deal that was great.. hotel only.. small room but nice and clean facing the pool -- food was good and plentiful.. I can't recall the place right now but I would bet its the one that you have seen for auction

I have used SkyAuction dozens of times over the past five years--airline tickets, cruises, hotel nights, and many timeshare weeks. I wouldn't book a cruise through them again but everthing else was fine. Check out hotel reviews at http://www.tripadvisor.com

A few years ago I used Skyauction for airline tickets from Seattle to San Diego. They booked on American and it went well. My second booking was for one night at a specific hotel. I was the successful bidder but when the confirmation came through it was for two nights. I cancelled it after trying unsuccessfully to get it changed to one night as advertised. I haven't bothered with them since, deleting their site from my favorites list.
