I just tried to book 4 villas at Vistana Villages for November. They don't offer any non-smoking villas anymore, so they lost our business! Maybe they will have non-smoking units in the expansion, otherwise we will never be able to stay there.

I know that it is simply anecdotal evidence, but we were there a few weeks ago and there was no smoky smell at all. In fact there was as slight musty smell, we mentioned it, and they brought in an air purifier which seemed to help.

I understand the problem with smoking as I am very sensitive to it. If I got a unit that was the least bit smoky, I would insist on another. The reality is, they can say it is non smoking, but not all smokers care to honor the policy. I don't think there is alot a resort can do to stop it. They probably are using cleaning products and perhaps ion filters that they feel remove the smoke.

A couple of months ago, we were assigned a room with a very strong (and nauseating) smell of smoke. We immediately called the front desk, and within 5 minutes they moved us to a new room that smelled perfectly clean. We were there again last week and got a nice no-trace-of-smoking room. I guess they can't promise it will be non-smoking, but so far we haven't had to put up with the smell.

Does anyone know what they are offering for Villages presentations? Are they improving with the expansion?

We're going in September. We were offered cheap accomodations at Vistana Resort, plus 2 Disney passes that are each good for one park plus one water park (alternatively, they would give us $100).
