Does anyone out there have a Fiesta Americana resort in Cancun or Los Cabos? Or even HGVC? I wanted to know how many points per night it would take to stay at a Fiesta Americana hotel (such as the Fiesta Americana Monterrey Centro).

Thanks!

According to the HGVC 2005 member guide, if you own HGVC points a stay at a Fiesta Americana Hotel will cost between 3,250 and 7,400 points (2 Nights - 6 nights)

I don't understand this statement. I just returned from Fiesta Americana (today) Cancun Coral Beach, one of the FA Hotels. It was my understanding that the only way back was to purchase a Fiesta Americana membership and trade the points (5000) into a week's stay at the Coral Beach. My HGVC points were not enough to get into the Fiesta Americana Hotel system's units. They even have a Scotia Bank credit card that gives a point for each 3 pesos charged. The system was so much like the Hilton system that I was amazed. You could convert FAVC points at 43 to 1 and get the equivalent of HHonors and use these for hotel stays. At any rate $31,000 USD plus 5000 1st day incentives for a week at the Coral Beach was not worth it.
