I have just purchased and closed on a timeshare resale. My first use is in 2006. I was considering joining RCI and depositing 2006 week because I will not be traveling to that location then. My understanding is that to maximize trading power with RCI I need to deposit my week as far in advance as possible. Since I have a flex week I think I need to schedule the week and then deposit it. At this point, does it matter what week of the year I schedule the week for to maximize my trading power? I know this is looooong, but any help would be appreciated!

Absolutely it does matter. Now since we don't know where your resort is, I can't tell you exactly which week would be the best, but as a general rule, weeks 26-35 are the best weeks for any beach resort in the US. Weeks 6,10-12, 26-34, 35, Thanksgiving , Christmas, and New Years will cover the majority of the others.
Weeks 4-13 for Hawaii or the Caribbean, Mexico, etc
and 51,52-14 in ski resorts. fwiw, Greg

We will be at the Kona Hawaiian Village from October 15th till November 6th, Mahalo
