Anybody paid their 2005 fees? If so, what levy were you quoted for 2-bedroom units? I'm getting ready to pay so I can book our 2005 Florida weeks. Thanks.Dori IP: Logged |

I got an e-mail from Ragini and she gave me a figure of 1535.17 rand. I can't understand why the amount keeps changing. Oh well, I'll pay that amount and hope we don't have to pay more in 2005. Thanks for your help, everyone. Happy Trading!Dori IP: Logged |

I do not understand all the different levy figures. I paid my 2005 levy on Nov 28, 2003 to Judy Norris @clubleisure.co.za for R1408.12,for 2004 was R1392.18-I wonder if the fact that we are paying estimated amounts ahead of time sometimes results in a credit lowering our next years levy and they just don't tell us ???Just a thought. I would ask them why other people who paid within the last few months have a different amount? I sounds too arbitrary.------------------ cedars IP: Logged |

If you still have no luck by tomorrow, let me know as I work about 5 minutes away from Ragini Morgan's office - and will be quite happy to stop in there for you and try and sort it out. You may have to send me more details though so that I can follow it up for you. Natalie ------------------ Natalie Nicholson IP: Logged |

Greetings Sharetime, And welcome to TUG Natalie. Those of us who do business with our South African timeshare companies certainly welcome a person who "walks the walk". Your presence here will likely give us a closer feeling to our timeshares there.Welcome, Bob IP: Logged |

Natalie- That is wonderful! I had to read your post twice to believe my eyes. I think the question for Lowveld is simply, "What are the levies for 2004 and 2005?" Seems that different answers have been given to different people at different times. Thank you!! ------------------ --Laura IP: Logged |

Welcomem Natalie! My fees have been charged to my CC- R1535.17, which equated into $298 Canadian. The problem now seems to be that I got an e-mail from Lowveld credit department saying the amount of R997 was credited, not R1535! I've sent another e-mail to have them correct this error. Hi Dori.. and everyone!I've just returned from my visit at Magna, and hope I can relay how the system works: Lowveld Lodge runs their 'levy/maintenance' year according to their financial year which runs from June to June. The current levy on a 1bd4 for the '2003/2004' year is R871.36 (This covers any weeks from 27-52 last year, and 1-26 this year). The current levy on a 2bd6 for this same period is R1335.02. They stated that should an owner wish to pay in advance, they simply increase it by 15%. I think the reason there has been so much confusion with varying amounts is because of previous 'estimated' payments being made resulting in excess/deficit amounts being carried forward. Dori - I wonder if they did not mean that you have an excess credit available after the R1535.17 was credited?? If you feel that's not the case, please let me know who you've been e-mailing and especially what your unit and week number is, because it'll all be on the system. I believe there was only a 5% increase from 'last years' levy, so if you were all paying in advance at the estimated 15% increase, there should be credits there. I hope the above has been of assistance... Cheers, Natalie ------------------ Natalie Nicholson IP: Logged |

Dear Natalie: Thanks for all your hard work-it is wonderful to have contact in South Africa-your explanation makes sense-I had a very small increase from 2004 to 2005 both estimates so I must have been in a credit situation. If I can ever assist you with info on Canada feel free to ask. Thanks again, MaryAnn------------------ cedars IP: Logged |

Hi! I paid my fees a few weeks ago. I noticed yesterday that my 2 bedroom white week was available in my RCI acount to trade. I only had the joy of shopping for a few minutes before I pulled up a 3 bedroom unit at Los Tules in Puerto Vallarta for the end of Nov 2004. We had a tour of this property in Dec. and really liked it. I am so pleased with the results of my trade. DaveIP: Logged |

Just received my 2005 Lowveld levy statement today. I am being charged R914.93 for a 1 Bdr(which is a 5% increase over the 2004 levy of R871.36). The difference between the 2003 levy (R829.87) and the 2004 levy is also 5%. Hopefully, this pattern means that 2006 will also be an increase of 5% (vs. the estimated 15% that I have been sending them.)IP: Logged |

The bill was in yesterday's snail-mail delivery.Up by 5%, according to the form letter that came with it. I had previously paid by credit card via Internet, so the bill shows a credit rather than an amount owed. -- Alan Cole, McLean (Fairfax County), Virginia, USA. ------------------ When you're retired, every day is like the 1st day of a 3-day weekend.
