Hi everyone--Today I received a return phone call from Uri Fried. Yes, they were very backed up on e-mails--said they receive hundreds of them every day. He was very nice and very helpful. We have decided to sell one of our timeshares to him. Will let you know how it all turns out.

Talked to Uri Fried today and he apologized to all. Their new found popularity with this group has overwhelmed their system.
He thinks most all emails were answered today and the phone returns are starting tomorrow. An automated quotation system is being worked on.

I bought a timeshare from these folks via an EBay auction a few months ago. The transaction was swift and smooth. I had a recorded deed and a very reasonable amount of time. I like the fact that they've already figured in how much they need to cover the closing costs and start the bidding at that point. And, their closing costs are obviously very reasonable since the auctions start at very attractive prices. There are too many other timeshare auctions on there with ridiculously high closing costs or the dreaded "all closing costs to be paid by buyer" with no indication as to what those costs will be.

I don't believe I would sell through them, though, as they seem to be somewhat of a clearing house with a very slim margin. In other words, they're great to buy from, but you won't get much for your unit - at least as a "trade-in." I knew I wanted a 2-bdrm unit and was thinking of trading my 1-bdrm to them towards the price of a 2-bdrm (they encourage you to ask about trade-ins). Apparently, they have a standard $500 trade-in allowance for a 1-bdrm unit in Florida - didn't matter that mine was week 26 and a 5-star oceanfront. I'd have to be pretty desperate to let that unit go for $500! So, I happily completed my 2-bdrm purchase transaction with them and kept my 1-bdrm. Bottom line... I'd definitely consider buying from them again and would recommend them to others.
