As a Worldmark owner, and member of II, I called the II Worldmark desk to add another resort I own that I wanted to deposit. The VC says I have to have 2 memberships; 1 for Worldmark and another for weeks based timeshares. Please tell me that that can't possibly be true. I can't believe that is necessary. And by the way, if it is true, I assume that also applies to Sunterra members? You Sunterra members that also own weeks based timeshares may want to consider this before switching to II, if it is true. ------------------ Visit my Homepage IP: Logged |

Club Sunterra members, like quite a number of other *clubs* have a corporate-type membership. We pay a membership fee to the Club and it includes our membership to II. It's not a full membership like someone who owns a week has.The VC is wrong. WorldMark owners do not have to join an exchange company and as such, the member has to join on his/her own. It's a full membership and you can have any amounts of weeks/units registered with that membership. ------------------ Marina Mexico Reviews IP: Logged |

Craig, You obviously have never tried to get answers from Sunterra's owners no-service. LOL. Surprisingly, my directory came today. I thought perhaps that was your influence, but I guess not if II doesn't have addresses. Thanks for your insight! Sandy IP: Logged |

Craig,I have an ongoing request in to exchange my Marriott for another Marriott. I called last weekend to add three weeks onto the original request and was told the request had been incorrectly input into the computer, as a nonmarriott to Marriot request. Because of this mistake, the VC said she could not add any weeks. All she could do was cancel the original request and start a new one. I told the VC I did not want to do this and asked to speak with a supervisor. After being on hold for about 30 minutes the VC said they had only a skelton crew on the weekend and a supervisor would call me Monday. That call never came. On Tuesday I called and spoke with a VC who connected me to a supervisor's voicemail. I left a message, but never heard back. Later the same day I called and spoke with a VC and a supervisor. Both assured me it was an easy fix and they were taking care of right then. As of today, (Wednesday) only one of the additional weeks I requested has been added. Needless to say I'm frustrated and just want to know how I can get the other two weeks added onto my original request? Thank you, Sandy IP: Logged |

Disregard my previous post, Craig. I talked to a different VC at the worldmark desk today, and he said he could add my Falcon Point week to my worldmark account, so I don't know what was going on with the VC last night. Generally, it seems that the VCs that work the Worldmark desk are pretty knowledgeable.------------------ Visit my Homepage IP: Logged |

Thank you for the update. However, I will run your number so we can address the adviser who gave you the wrong information. quote: Originally posted by PA: Disregard my previous post, Craig. CraigWhen using request first, can the request be linked from 2 different resorts. For example, I want to exchange 1 week from my resort "A" and 1 week from my resort "B" to get a consecutive week exchange, not having to accept unless both weeks came through? Harvey IP: Logged |

Yes, but it must be done through the call center. quote: Originally posted by luvacation: CraigWhen using request first, can the request be linked from 2 different resorts. Does II take (Sunterra) Cypress Pointe Grand Villas in Orlando or just Cypress Pointe Resort (Orlando)? I thought that I had read that II took both but on the II website only Cypress Pointe Resort is listed? TIAIP: Logged |

Cypress Pointe Grand Villas are part of the club and could result in weeks being made available to the exchange system. However, the resort is not affiliated with Interval International. Therefore, fixed weeks owners would not be able to utilize our services at this time. quote: Originally posted by AE: Does II take (Sunterra) Cypress Pointe Grand Villas in Orlando or just Cypress Pointe Resort (Orlando)? OK - now I'm confused! If a Club owner from CPGV deposits time in II who can use it? Only other Club owners? Just trying to understand how things work. Thanks

Hi Craig, I seem to be getting similar information from the VC's as some other II members have wih regards to adding a newly purchased week from Disney Vacation Club to my existing II membership. I have been a member of II with the Royal Islander and was told that I must purchase an additional membership to be able to add the Disney points to my trading inventory. Is this accurate? Helene, DVC does not work that way. When you trade your DVC, simply call DVC member services and they handle everything. There is no need to set anything up with II. DVC has a corporate account, and you the member, never deal directly with II.

If ( big if) they gave us weeks at this resort, to pay back points trades, any II member could exchange in. quote: Originally posted by timeos2: OK - now I'm confused! Disney has a special arrangement with Interval International that provides access to a small part of our services. As such, it requires a separate membership which is serviced, through our system, by Disney. quote: Originally posted by Helene4: Hi Craig, I seem to be getting similar information from the VC's as some other II members have wih regards to adding a newly purchased week from Disney Vacation Club to my existing II membership. Helene, Craig does this on "his own time" as often as not. You are aware that the TUG BBS time is Pacific, right? So when he answered you (since he's in Florida) it was long past his dinnertime Fern quote: Originally posted by Helene4: Craig, Thank you for such a speedy response! DVC has a corporate membership and as such DVC itself is the II member and not you or I. That means you cannot interact with II directly regarding DVC even if you are an II member otherewise. It also means no getaways, bonuse weeks and that you can only access some 15% of the II inventory.------------------ Dean My Home Page IP: Logged |

Craig: I finally have a question!! I recently confirmed an exchange for a summer 5 Star unit I have which automatically guarantees me a bonus certificate. Not only did I receive a bonus certificate, I also received a Vacation Certificate. This is the first time in three exchanges that I have received a Vacation Certificate. Would you mind explaining what this is? Why I received it now? Why I had not received it or heard of it in the past? Any information would be helpful. Thank you!!!IP: Logged |
