If there is enough interest, maybe we can even look into developing a direct exchange database web page. Owners at ANY Starwood resort would be eligible to be included in the database! You can express your interest by posting a reply or sending me an email. The hope is the database will enable more owners to obtain weeks at Starwood resorts they would otherwise not be able to get during the SVN float period (8 months prior to travel). IP: Logged

As I said in the previous post, I think it would be reasonable for those of us who paid a bit less for the other Starwoods to have to pay some cash to trade into one of the Big 3. Obviously, trades among those members should be even. But I think it would be beneficial to the TUG members (might even help grow TUG) and, hopefully, keep some of those weeks away from Interval. We own at Myrtle Beach and also would not feel it unreasonable to supplement the trade with a reasonable amount of cash for a trade to the "Big 3" or trade our two bedroom for a smaller unit. Your email can be as simple as who you are and which Starwood resort you own. I'm going to begin setting up a VERY basic web posting page so we can get this ball rolling by the end of the year (only 10 days). I'll advise everyone once it is up and running. Once this occurs, we can start working out the details for how the exchange board will work! I'm certain this has the potential to be a great way for Starwood owners to vacation where they want to and be there when they want to be. Thanks for the response thusfar. The adds should be formated in a way which would allow sorting by resorts you want or by resorts the owner wants to trade to. Posts could appear by the most recent listed, as the for sale classifieds are. It would make it easier to check once a week for new posts. If an owner is interested in more than just an exact swap they could state, "interested in any creative trades". I have communicated with some people who have listed on the current exchange board, however the format is cumbersome. I replied to everyone who emailed me, so if you didn't get an email from me you need to do so to be included in the data base. Include in the email: Full Name TUG ID (if you have one) Starwood Resort(s)owned Type of Unit owned Is it a lock off unit View Category (if applicable) Season Owned Fixed Week (if applicable) View Category Remember, if you didn't get an email from me this morning you will not be included in the data base. Without this, these individuals must rely on exchanges listed with an outside exchange company -- and how many times do you see Starwood properties (especially in prime vacation times) avaiable for exchange through II or RCI. I see this as just another reason why more people will want to join the direct exchange board. IP: Logged
