Craig,

You asked me to update you (and the board) when my AC online issue was fixed. Well, it is fixed! I am now able to shop online with my AC. They knew exactly what I was talking about and were very customer-oriented.

Thanks for the advice to contact the internet support department.

One question: When an AC is tied to your membership, does it reflect the same online "pulling power" as one's home resort?

Thanks again!

Understandable!

While it may be a frustration for some, we felt providing available options was better service as some individuals may not think to reduce the traveling party for different results. I understand your point and do not disagree. However, this is a case where every other person would have the opposite preference. Too many choices or pull down menus cause other issues. I hope you understand the logic, even if you do not agree, with our position.

The trading power of each certificate varies according to the reason it was issued.

Craig,
I want to thank you again for your participation on this board and for the customer service you are providing on behalf of I.I. I have been having problems using my bonus week for the past 3 weeks. It worked fine onlin when I 1st got it about 6 weeks ago. When shopping with the Accommodation Cert, I have been unable to shop and am getting an error message saying that "Travel party cannot exceed 0 (unit capacity)." The unit I deposited to get the bonus has an occupancy of 4. I have called the II internet support desk 2-3 times and they keep saying they are working on it but still no fix. I was wondering if you had an idea when this will be resolved and if this glith will affect a search that I currently have placed using the bonus week.

Thanks,
TomH

The online system will not affect an ongoing vacation request. In any case, I will ask our internet development team to look at the problem logs for the issue you describe. If this isn't resolved in the next few days, ask to speak to a supervisor in internet support. If necessary, and their response doesn't make sense, please post another note so I can follow up.

Thank you in advance.

Tori, it's a function of how the DVC system works more than II. Most deposits for ANY DVC member will either be OKW excluding Premier time (Xmas and Easter) or they will be off season HH REGARDLESS OF WHICH RESORT THEY OWN. Occasionally another resort will get deposited but very rarely. There are those that have exchanged into Boardwalk but this was before DVC changed the rules to the cheapest points deposit rather than home resort, I think that change occured in 1998. I hope this helps.

Dear Craig,

Thank you so much for all of your time and effort on this board.

I wanted to let you know that the online grid for AC shopping more than 60 days out acts strangely. A specific destination may be listed 2-5 times, each with different boxes shaded.

When Turkey gets listed 8 times, I wonder if it's sending me a message!

LOL...we don't mean anything by the "Turkey" designation...err....I mean destination. Although I'd like to apply it in some cases.

All jokes aside, this has been reported. I believe it will be resolved soon.

Have we ever been able to get an RCI representative to interact with TUGgers like II does?

Thanks for the info !

Marriott Ko'Olina isn't scheduled for occupancy till sometime in the first quarter of 2003.

So.... would it be premature to even place an exchange request till then ?
(I'm looking for a week in September/October 2003)

Craig,
Thank you so much for looking into this bonus week problem and everything is working great online now. It is employees such as yourself that make Interval my preferred exchange company since a few of my resorts are dual affiliated.

No, its never happened, and its not likely to. Too bad, because it would give members more access to understanding how the RCI system works and how to best utilize it. And it would create a better impression of their company, something they could sorely use.

Well, there goes my trading power

Seriously, RCI, if you don't want to participate here, how about another moderated CHAT like we had when Rae worked for you? We could work that out...

Fern

PS--There's only one Craig Urbine, and II has him, so you've got your work cut out, RCI.

I am leaving on vacation tomorrow morning and will not be responding to questions until, at least, August 30th.

I know I cannot request a thread be closed, however it would make my life easier if I could start reading a new one upon my return. Hint, hint....

It's OK to be kind while I'm away. LOL...Have a great week!

Craig,
Enjoy yourself! I'm going to archive this, so that you'll have a new thread to read on your return. Not cause you asked, of course, but because I had the same brilliant idea at the same time as you did. It will make it so much easier for you when you come back!
